2 Intelligent room acoustics from WAVE Design Solutions The aim of WAVE Design Solutions was to present a powerful, innovative, and timeless design based on the aesthetic language of nature itself. Waves are omnipresent in nature. Our senses are stimulated by waves in different ways. The fascination of watching water in motion, with its ever-recurring but never identical patterns, is an experience familiar to everyone. At WAVE Design, combining these natural aesthetics with a specific functional application in the acoustic and visual enhancement of interiors leads to a dynamic, yet subtle aesthetic language. Frequently, we are confronted with and annoyed by poor acoustics in rooms. In contrast, an acoustically balanced room can significantly improve the quality of work, learning, and life in general. That is why the field of acoustics is gaining importance in architecture, both in new buildings and renovations. Noise-absorbing ceilings or panels help, but they are often less than attractive or do not harmonize with the existing decor. What's more, retrofitting them is costly and time-consuming. WAVE Design Solutions offer intelligent, good-looking solutions to this problem. Easy to install retrospectively and customized to the room, they verifiably improve the acoustics and appearance of interiors. In recent years, the WAVE Design product range has repeatedly won the most important German design prizes for this innovative and dedicated approach.

4 The WAVE Design Solutions product family The product family currently consists of acoustic absorbers, partitions, sculptural objects and baffles. The modular system with various basic forms covers most acoustic requirements for interiors. The standard forms are coordinated with each other and can be freely combined to create continuous structures from several modules. The waveforms of the standard absorbers can be combined in a mirrored, repeated, broken or continuous manner, thus offering an almost infinite number of variations. The spatial form of the WAVE absorbers is complex and curved. All individual parts are made from commercially available panel material. The production by water jet systems is according to the latest state of the art. Safety standards Unobjectionable use in schools and kindergartens thanks to certification in accordance with Öko-Tex Standard 100 The acoustic material is prepared without the use of halogenated hydrocarbons, flame retardants and/or toxic heavy metals. Adheres to European guidelines RoHS and REACH Meets fire protection class B1

10 Baffles» As can be seen from the diagram below, the acoustic situation for the cafeteria operation after the renovation, in terms of the reverberation times, can be classified as very good. 18 Planning and installation In advance of every WAVE project, we not only view and record the current situation at the installation location and work out the specific, optimum acoustic solutions together with the customer. We also create plans and 3D models to visualize light effects and the optical impression. 5 6 WAVE acoustic absorbers, room dividers, and wall sculptures consist of individual lamellas manufactured in a water-jet process. 7 Each lamella is unique. A standard absorber (single pattern) is assembled e.g. from 22 different lamellas. They are slotted together and (apart from the wall sculptures) stabilized in an aluminum frame. 8 The undersides of the individual lamellas and modules have serrations/elevations and grooves/depressions which make it possible to identify each one during assembly. 9 The baffles consist of Module No. Lamella No.

19 various elements, whereby here again each part has its exact position in the overall structure. In the same way, the position is determined with the help of serrations/ elevations and grooves/depressions during slotting together, and the rows of baffles are joined together with aluminum rods. 10 Another variation of the acoustic absorber features a puzzle-type connection for direct joining together.
