Clarification: Window Schedule on Sheet A-601 lists a Window Type D, but there is no Window Type D shown on the Floor Plans. Change to the following: Window Type D shall be the Aluminum-Framed Storefront window system at Door #118A between rooms Main Entry #117 and Reception #118. There shall be no other Type D windows. 2. Clarification: No Window Type is shown on the Floor Plans for the Aluminum-Framed Storefront window system at Door #117 into room Main Entry or Door #138A into room Dining #138. Change to the following: a. Refer to attached Sheet A-601-a, which is a revised Window Schedule. This Window Schedule shall supersede the original Window Schedule. b. The Aluminum-Framed Storefront window system at Door #117 shall be Window Type F. c. The storefront window system at Door #138A shall be Window Type C. 3. Refer to attached Schedule of Special Inspection Services required by the City of Columbia. 4. Substitution: Oldcastle Building Envelope is an Approved manufacturer for Aluminum- Framed Storefronts. 2 5. Clarification: Drawings show center-set glazing in the Aluminum-Framed Storefronts. Specification Section for this product describes front-set glazing. Change to the following: All Aluminum-Framed Storefront Windows shall have center-set glazing. 6. Clarification: Structural Drawings show windows and headers for windows in rooms Stair #S101, Stair #S102, Stair #S201, and Stair #S202 in 1-hour Fire-Rated Wall Assemblies. Architectural Drawings do not show any windows in these same walls. Change to the following: No windows or headers for windows shall exist in rooms Stair #S101, Stair #S102, Stair #S201, and Stair #S Clarification: Attic access is required to the Attic above the R-2 Residence Wing, but no Attic Access components are shown on Drawings in this wing. Change to the following: a. Provide one (1) 45-minute Fire-Rated 3-0 x3-0 Steel Door w/ 3-2 x3-2 4-sided Steel Frame & Hardware above ceiling between Attic of Stair #S201 and the Attic of the R-2 Residence Wing, as well as above ceiling between Attic of Stair #S202 and the Attic of the R-2 Residence Wing. b. The total number of Doors, Frames, and Hardware of this application shall be two (2), one for Stair #S201 and one for Stair #S202. c. The Door Type for each of these Doors shall be Door Type D1. Frame Type for each Door shall be Frame Type F2. Refer to Sheet A-601 for more information. d. Provide rough opening for same, locate in Attics as close to Attic Access Panels shown on Sheet A-102 as practical. e. Maintain integrity of 1-hour fire rating of Stair ceiling / roof assembly and 1-hour fire rating of Wall and Trusses between Stairs and Residence Wing. Coordinate Door Hardware requirements with Specification Section Door Hardware. 8. Clarification: All attic spaces shall be fully-sprinklered with an Approved NFPA-13 Automatic Sprinkler System. Attic Draftstopping is not required. Draftstopping in floor trusses is not required. Coordinate with M/E/P documents. 9. Clarification: For all mechanical units in Mechanical Mezzanine #301: provide and install overflow pans for all equipment, and pipe condensate to floor drains. Coordinate with updated M/E/P drawings see below under Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing Drawings. 10. Clarification: The Mechanical Mezzanine floor plan has changed. See attached Drawing Sheet A-103-a for clarification. 11. Clarification: There are no handrail details shown on Drawings. Add the Attached Handrail Details see attached Sheet A-105-a. 12. Substitution: Tremco ExoAir 230 is an Approved Equal for Dupont Tyvek Mechanically- Fastened Air Barrier Sheets, per Section This applies to Mechanically-Fastened Air Barrier products only. Specification Changes: 1. Section Alternates: A. Replace the original Specification for this Section with the attached version. 2. 3 A. Add this Specification Section to the project. Refer to the attached document. 3. Section Aluminum-Framed Storefronts: A. Clarification: Specification Section Aluminum-Framed Storefronts requires Design Data in Page 1, Section 1.04, Line F. Change to the following: No Design Data is required for this product. Omit 1.04, Line F of this Section. Civil Drawings: 1. See attached revised Sheets CE0, CE1, CE2, CE3, CE9, and LS1 these Sheets shall replace the original Sheets of the same name and number. Refer to these attached Sheets for all changes. Structural Drawings: 1. No changes. Architectural Drawings: 1. A-300 Sheets: Project Documents indicate 3/4"-thick Gypcrete cast floor underlayment is to be used on this project, but there is no specification for this product. Change to the following: A. See Specification Changes Item #2 above. B. Replace attached Sheets A-301, A-302, A-303, and A-304 with the attached Sheets with additional notes regarding this product and other information. 2. Sheet A-301: A. The fire-rated penetration details on this sheet show penetrations through hollow-core concrete slabs. All fire-rated penetration details shown on this sheet shall be through wood floor & roof truss construction. See attached revised Sheet A-301 for details. B. Detail H1 has been added to this Sheet, describing the typical fire-rated ceiling / roof assembly at Stair #S201 & Stair #S202. See attached revised Sheet A-301 for details. C. Detail G5 has been added to this Sheet, describing the fire-rated top enclosure assembly at the fire-rated Shaft. See attached revised Sheet A-301 for details. 3. Sheet A-302: A. Mezzanine Ladder Detail D13 has been revised to add forward extensions to top of ladder at new Mezzanine Landing. See attached revised Sheet A-302 for details. B. Add new detail A13 to this Sheet. This detail describes the typical wood trim conditions at the top of walls between stair runs and at top landings in interior Stairs. 4. Sheets A-100 & A-101: Wall Type FW1 shown on Architectural Drawings indicates this wall assembly is intended to have O.S.B. sheathing over fire-rated Densglass sheathing over wood studs, among other components. We have received questions about whether both the Densglass sheathing and O.S.B. sheathing are required, or if only the Densglass sheathing could be used without O.S.B. sheathing. A. Fire-rated Densglass sheathing shall be installed on top of the O.S.B. sheathing at indicated locations the O.S.B. sheathing shall remain continuous beneath the Welcome Home Veterans Shelter PWA # Addendum No.1 / p.3

4 Densglass sheathing. Wall Type FW1 shall have both O.S.B. sheathing and Densglass fire-rated sheathing at all locations. B. Install 5/8 thick furring strips over O.S.B. sheathing at all exterior walls where difference in sheathing thickness due to thicker sheathing from this Wall Type would cause discontinuities in the exterior finish material. Coordinate with manufacturer s installation instructions. 5. Sheet A-100: Add the following to the Scope of Work in room Mechanical #000 (basement): Remove existing concrete slab at North end of existing basement, including existing slab reinforcing and any compacted fill required. Replace with new 4 thick concrete slab. Match dimensions of existing slab existing slab is approximately 22-6 x8-0. Slab reinforcing shall be #4 reinforcing bars at 1-0 on center each way. New slab shall be installed over new clean compacted aggregate. Sump Pump Pit Detail H10 / A-100 shall remain unchanged, except in that it will be connecting to a new concrete slab instead of an existing concrete slab. 6. Sheet A-201: Architectural Drawings, Sheet A-201, list Exterior Elevations as having a drawing scale of 3/16 = 1-0. Change to the following: All Exterior Elevations on Sheet A-201 shall have a drawing scale of 1/8 = 1-0. Do not re-scale the Drawings. Only the Drawing Scale text shall be changed. 7. Sheet A-101: Ground Floor Plan (Drawing A1) indicates one window is Window Type B at room Office #120 and one window is Window Type B at room Office #123. Change to the following: A. Window Type B occurs at three windows in the Basement only (room Mechanical #000). No Type B windows shall be on either the Ground or Second Floors. B. Windows labeled as Type B at rooms Office #120 and Office #123 shall be two Type A windows at each opening with 2x wood studs at center of opening between windows. Finish wood studs between windows with drywall on inside and pre-finished metal trim w/ sealant on outside finished to match window color. 8. Sheet A-601: Omit Door #300 shown on Door Schedule, Sheet A-601. No door shall be installed at the Mezzanine level. The only door into the Mezzanine shall be Door #136 at ground level (pair of doors). 9. Sheet A-602: A. The Finish Schedule on Sheet A-602 indicates the finish floor in Mechanical Mezzanine #301 is to be Vinyl Flooring Planks with faux-wood look. Change to the following: The floor finish material for Mechanical Mezzanine #301 shall be exposed plywood. B. The Finish Schedule indicates the wall and ceiling finishes are Existing in Mechanical #000 (basement). Change to the following: All wall finishes in Mechanical #000 (basement) shall be painted 5/8 thick gypsum board over 2 metal furring with 2 rigid board insulation between metal furring over existing concrete walls. Ceiling finish in Mechanical #000 (basement) shall be two layers painted 5/8 gypsum board over floor trusses (1-hour fire-rated ceiling assembly similar to G.A. 19 PART 1 GENERAL 1.01 SECTION INCLUDES SECTION CAST UNDERLAYMENT A. Liquid-applied self-leveling floor underlayment. 1. Use gypsum-based type at all locations over subflooring and wood truss floor framing SUBMITTALS A. See Section Administrative Requirements, for submittal procedures. B. Product Data: Provide manufacturer's data sheets documenting physical characteristics and product limitations of underlayment materials. Include information on surface preparation, environmental limitations, and installation instructions QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Applicator Qualifications: Company specializing in performing the work of this section with minimum 3 years of experience DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING A. Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation. B. Keep dry and protect from direct sun exposure, freezing, and ambient temperature greater than 105 degrees F REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS A. Conform to applicable code for combustibility or flame spread requirements FIELD CONDITIONS A. Do not install underlayment until floor penetrations and peripheral work are complete. B. Maintain minimum ambient temperatures of 50 degrees F 24 hours before, during and 72 hours after installation of underlayment. C. During the curing process, ventilate spaces to remove excess moisture. PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.01 MANUFACTURERS A. Gypsum Underlayment: 1. Hacker Industries, Inc; Product Firm-Fill 3310: 2. Substitutions: See Section Product Requirements MATERIALS A. Gypsum-Based Underlayment: Gypsum based mix, that when mixed with water in accordance with manufacturer's directions will produce self-leveling underlayment with the following properties: 1. Compressive Strength: Minimum 2500 psi, tested per ASTM C Thickness: 3/4 inch 3. Surface Burning Characteristics: Flame spread/smoke developed index of 0/0 in accordance with ASTM E84. B. Aggregate: Dry, well graded, washed silica aggregate, approximately 1/8 inch in size and acceptable to underlayment manufacturer. C. Water: Potable and not detrimental to underlayment mix materials. D. Primer: Manufacturer's recommended type. E. Joint and Crack Filler: Latex based filler, as recommended by manufacturer MIXING A. Site mix materials in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. 20 B. Add aggregate for areas where thickness will exceed 1/2 inch. Mix underlayment and water for at least two minutes before adding aggregate, and continue mixing to assure that aggregate has been thoroughly coated. C. Mix to self-leveling consistency without over-watering. PART 3 EXECUTION 3.01 EXAMINATION A. Verify that substrate surfaces are clean, dry, unfrozen, do not contain petroleum byproducts, or other compounds detrimental to underlayment material bond to substrate PREPARATION A. Remove substrate surface irregularities. Fill voids and deck joints with filler. Finish smooth. B. Vacuum clean surfaces. C. Prime substrate in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. Allow to dry. D. Close floor openings APPLICATION A. Install underlayment in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. B. Pump or pour material onto substrate. Do not retemper or add water. 1. Pump, move, and screed while the material is still highly flowable. 2. Be careful not to create cold joints. 3. Wear spiked shoes while working in the wet material to avoid leaving marks. C. Place to indicated thickness, with top surface level to 1/8 inch in 10 ft CURING A. Once underlayment starts to set, prohibit foot traffic until final set has been reached. B. Air cure in accordance with manufacturer's instructions PROTECTION A. Protect against direct sunlight, heat, and wind; prevent rapid drying to avoid shrinkage and cracking. B.
