Abbas Kanisan Technical Service Manager Abbas Kanisan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the Calicut University, and a Bachelor in Physical Science from the Kerala University in India. He is a certified ISO 9001:2000 auditor and has supported our ISO accreditation. Mohammed Sanaobar Technical Service Manager Mohammed Sanaobar has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the American University of Sharjah in the UAE, and an MBA from the U21 Universities in Singapore with a major in Project Management. Addtionally, Mr. Sanaobar is a certified ISO 9001:2000 auditor and lead the ISO accreditation of the TC Dubai. Anoop D Souza Regional Sales Manager Anoop D Souza has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Bombay University and has been working with Wacker Chemicals Middle East since February He works as a regional sales manager for the Silicones division in the construction chemicals sector, and is responsible for the Middle East and North Africa. 6

7 Thomas Laubender Application Technology, Polymer Chemistry Thomas Laubender is a technical service manager and joined the ACADEMY training team in April He joined WACKER in 1981 and has handled a multitude of tasks within application technology at WACKER SILICONES and WACKER POLYMERS. Laubender studied technical chemistry at the Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and graduated as an engineer. Dr. Agnes Ehmann Application Technology, Polymer Chemistry Dr. Agnes Ehmann studied chemistry and wrote her doctoral thesis in organic chemistry. She has held various posts at WACKER for 15 years, for example in quality assurance. She has been in the ACADEMY team of instructors since 2008, with responsibility for construction polymers. Alongside creating new face-to-face and online training courses, her tasks include running an application support training lab. She has extensive experience in how to tailor the presentation of training content to the target group. 7

8 Maria-Anna Biebl Marketing Manager Rubber Solutions After having studied business administration in Germany and the US, Ms Biebl started to work at an advertising agency before joining WACKER in She started as communication manager, before working in Shanghai for 2 years as market research manager. Since end of 2006 she is working in the business team rubber solutions as a marketing manager, resposible for the regions Near Middle East, Africa, Central and Eastern Europe. Dr. Thomas Frese Technical Manager Rubber Solutions After his university studies with focus on polymer physics and after spending a couple of years in different positions at university and industry, he joined Wacker in In his first position at Wacker, he started as a platform manager LSR in the Business Unit SE. Since end of 2009, he is Technical Manager at SER and responsible for automotive in southwest-germany and Switzerland, as well as for different market segments in Turkey, Israel, Near Middle East & South Africa. Moreover, he is the material coordinator for all LSR products. 8

The ultramodern Technical Center labs in Dubai are accredited to ISO 17025, enabling testing of construction materials in accordance with international standards such as ISO, EN, DIN and ANSI/ASTM.
