Make sure that the shower tray is flush with studs. The shower tray should receive a double application of polymer cement glue using a 3/8 to 1/4 toothed trowel. Coverings (concrete, ceramic tile or other) Waterproofing membrane, such as Schluter or Mapei brand (optional for cement coverings but necessary for ceramic coverings) 7/16 HardiBacker cement board Stud SHOWER TRAY FLO FLO Important! Take care to cover the shower tray when installing the wall covering. Do not leave drips on the shower base. Doing so may may affect the surface. If you cover the shower tray with plastic, be sure that it is fully dry at each step. If in doubt, remove the plastic and dry the surface as quickly as possible. Do not leave the plastic on the shower tray for many hours on end, as the cement needs to breathe to finish curing. MAINTENANCE For ongoing maintenance of your shower tray, please consult the maintenance sheet provided.
