(Concrete is optional) septic tanks are the most efficient on the market. Tests carried out by SP (Swedish Institution of Technical Research) has shown unique results. No measurable quantities of sludge or pollution particles could be detected in the outlet! The design of septic tanks with a rich oxygene supply and large volume, results in a much higher degree of reduction than for conventional tanks. Patented construction The unique construction spreads the water over a very large area flowing upwards at a very slow speed. The sludge and pollution particles are heavier than water and sinks down to the sludge compartment. Sedimentation is a vertical movement and the construction utilizes this fact in the separation process. Large volume septic tanks uses a larger volume compared to conventional tanks. This results in more efficient purification and a high degree of biological activity as the large water area is exposed to oxygene. It aso reduces the sensitivity against large inflows. The large sludge compartment prolongs the intervals between desludging and reduces the possible outflow of particles from the tank. Desludging is also simplified as only one compartment needs to be emptied. 100% separation of particles septic tanks are the only separation system on the market to separate all particles from the wastewater according to several tests. Tests carried out by SP (Swedish Institution of Technical Research) has shown unique results, no particles at all where detected in five consecutive tests (see table below). Pollution particles are hence separated more efficiently compared to conventional tanks. The benefits are an increased life span of the drainfield or infiltration and a more efficient purification. Pump kit for septic tank 2. Septic tank with sewage pump If the wastewater needs to be pumped away from the tank there is no need for an external pumping station. The pump is placed in the integrated pumping compartment automaticly operated by the water level in the tank. Pumping to the drainfield or infiltration is preferable as the separated water is evenly distributed over the drainfield area, rendering a prolonged life span and higher degree of purification in the bed. Drainfields and infiltration beds are generally saturated with phosphorus after approximately 10 years of use, reducing the efficiency of the bed permanently. The bed then will need to be replaced. The same problem applies to all kinds of septic tanks irrespectively of brand or model. In this case the purification is accomplished in the septic tank reducing the load on the drainfield or infiltration, which does not have to be replaced in the foreseeable future. It also topped the major test of small water purification plants carried out by the swedish county administrations. To achieve a high degree of purification, the supply of oxygene is very important. This is solved by placing ventilation tubes in each end of the line of biomodules. In combination with the tube formed mesh construction of the bio- Modules, air can easily flow through the system. A biofilm of over 300 m 2 is naturally formed on the surface of one package of biomodules for one household. The design of the biomodules provides an optimal suply of oxygene to the bacteria culture in the biofilm, and prevents blockage or clogging, as the sewagewater does not pass any form of geotextile. Thoroughly desludged water pumped to a drainfield or infiltration built with biomodules, will become more effective and last far longer, due to lower and more evenly distributed loads.
