9 BIBB Main Board: Environment protection in VET In order to increase the emphasis on the needs of environmental protection in vocational education and training, in the future they should be taken into consideration in a manner appropriate to the specific occupation when developing the recognised training regulations. 10 Typs of green professions Professions in agriculture / forestry: 16 generally approved professions Professions with special focus on environment protection: 4 generally approved professions Professions with special focus on chemistry / biology: 10 generally approved professions Professions in the dual system: actually 349 generally approved professions
11 Sustainability as a general task Vocational Education and Training for all jobs should be oriented on the aims of sustainable development. That means: The aims of sustainability have to be implemented to all training regulations. Specific modells of training have to be developed how training for sustainability could be implemented in different professions.
12 VET for green professions Integration of sustainability in existing professions / trainings (without consequences for training regulation) Creation of specific, certified training moduls in the field of sustainability Development of specific training regulations for green jobs Adaptation of green qualification within continuing training (updating training) Development of specific profils for a general accepted qualification in continuing training (upgrading training)
