2 ODOR CONTROL Odor control is generally characterized in two distinct forms: Odor Control (H 2 S) Total Odor Control (H 2 S + RSCs) Odor control is typically associated with the treatment and removal of H 2 S from the air stream Total Odor Control is much more complex and encompasses the removal of H 2 S as well as additional RSCs and selective VOCs The BIO-PRO Bioscrubber, for the treatment of odors, and the BIO-PRO Biotrickling Filter, for the treatment of total odors, effectively meet the control requirements needed to meet the most stringent of specifications. The flexibility of design, coupled with the patented Bio-AirSPHERE media, results in a system that is economical to operate, requires minimum maintenance and yields consistent results. Our advanced technologies also include Biofilter and Biotower configurations. The BIO-PRO technology offers a full range of options for the treatment of odors.
3 MEDIA TECHNOLOGY The BIO-PRO systems utilize a combination of media types for the treatment of odors. Media selection is dependent on the type, levels, composition and desired removal efficiencies required to meet the specific needs of the end user. All of our media configurations have been engineered to meet your design criteria. Additionally, we hold multiple patents on our organic, structured Bio-AirSPHERE media. PUF (polyurethane foam) media is a porous, low density synthetic media. These materials are used in a wide range of applications where high porosity and large surface area is needed for optimal biological growth. Porosity is typically 95%, but can be as high as 98%. Many of the Biotrickling systems will incorporate a combination of natural organic and synthetic inorganic media. The final media mix is dependent on the odorous compounds found in the airstream as well as the concentrations. The engineered media, Bio-AirSPHERE will provide high surface area, promote biological growth and enhance the overall performance of the system. Polyurethane Foam Media (PUF) Bio-AirSPHERE Media Bio-AirSPHERE Organic Media The patented Bio-AirSPHERE structured, organic media can be utilized to effectively treat a wide variety of compounds ranging from RSCs to a broad spectrum of non-sulfur volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The media combines an engineered, structured, spherical design, with a proprietary mixture of organics to create a unique media for removal of RSCs and other VOCs from the air stream. The structure, combined with the composition of the organics, provide a substrate most conducive to development of a diverse, multidimensional population of microbes. This naturally occurring biological system will yield removal efficiencies that exceed most requirements.
4 BIO-PRO Nutrient Feed System UNIQUE NUTRIENT AND DOSING SYSTEMS BIO-PRO systems utilize a non-hazardous nutrient formulation that is stored, shipped and introduced via the dosing system in a solid form, eliminating the need for a nutrient tank and metering pump. The nutrient contains typical components such as nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus. A proprietary blend of replication accelerators and micro nutrients are added to ensure the bacterial colonies readily degrade odor constituents while maintaining an optimal biomass.

7 BIO-PRO CONCRETE CONFIGURATIONS AND IN-VESSEL BIOFILTERS The BIO-PRO technology has been engineered to meet the needs of systems ranging from 50 ACFM to as large as 500,000 ACFM. In addition to in-vessel designs utilizing FRP and thermo plastic materials, we have installed systems that are constructed of concrete. Concrete systems have been installed both above grade and in-ground. Our engineering and design capabilities provide our customers with the broadest air pollution control options currently available. Our commitment is to provide our customers with a total solution for a successful installation.
