2 The Pollut Eval T. It s a small equipment, easy to use and to move. In case of use on the site to clean, the analysis carried out by this equipment can advantageously substitute laboratory analysis. Moreover, its cooled carrousel prevents from the evaporation of the sample volatile fraction (gasoline, jet fuel ). The supervision software. It allows a fast and easy first use of the Pollut Eval T. Its intuitive interface allows to compute and see the samples which have to be analysed, and also to export values to the most used spreadsheet softwares. This new software allows a more efficient posttreatment of the values measured by the Pollut Eval T, with the possibility given to the operator to visualise 3D results, and pictures of the site. 3 The Pollut Eval T and its supervision software. Equipment easy to move from a site to another. Fast start up 3h. Size: HxLxP 50x30x50 cm. Weight 20 kg. No treatment of the samples before analysis. Samples weight 60 mg. Less than 20 mn for the analysis of each sample. 15 positions automatic carousel. Cooled carousel to ensure the integrity of the samples during time. Cooling of the oven in 10 mn.. Printing of the results. Export of the data to the most useful spreadsheet softwares. Needs: Air, Nitrogen and Hydrogen for analysis gases. Power supply: 220VAC, 50/60Hz. A computer with Windows XP and a USB or RS23 port. A balance with more than 0.2 mg as for accuracy. Characterization principle of a contaminated soil: The signal measured during the analysis, is distributed over 4 integration areas. Each area is linked to an hydrocarbon type. The software gives the pollutants distribution on these 4 areas (R0, R1, R2 et R3). Gasoline: R0 dominating Gas oil: R2 dominating Jet fuel: R1 dominating Heavy oil: R3 dominating Supervision software: analysis of a sand and gas oil sample.

4 The gas kit. It allows the generation of a pure air and the use of small Nitrogen and Hydrogen bottles. On site, the weight and electric consumption (stabilized and cleaned electricity) decrease of the tools, are important criteria. As for an example, a pure air and Nitrogen generator consume 1kW and has nearly the weight and the size of a washing machine. Less than 5 kg for the weight. Less than 100W for the consumption. Use of small bottles as B5L for Nitrogen and/or Hydrogen. 10 days of on site analysis autonomy, with a 24h/24h operating (it's easier to transport that sort of bottles than a Nitrogen and air generator). This kit has been studied in order to be embedded above the Pollut Eval T. Two versions of this kit exist (G1 and G2), according whether one wishes to use or not an hydrogen generator. 5 The pollution follow-up software: This software with data given in real time by the measurements carried out by the Pollut Eval T, allows an efficient and simple follow-up of the pollution spread site. In order to ease the localisation of the operator, it is possible to put a picture or an IGN map of the site above the measurements. Automatic update of the view. Import of maps, pictures... Possibility to add own reference marks (trees, houses,...) for an easier geographical localisation on site. Import and export a of external data, allowing, for example, to use your own models of pollution diffusion in the soils. Possibility to print the pollution map for your report, or for the follow-up of the evolution of the remediation.
