3 1. Waste Management Report i) Waste Management Record a) Animal Carcasses and Tissue Waste Waste Code 212 College Proteins, Nobber, Co. Meath collected the carcasses 49 times during the year and delivered to College Proteins, Nobber, Co. Meath. The total weight was tons. b) Domestic and Canteen Waste Waste Code 231 Wilton Waste Recycling & Skip Hire, Kiffa, Crosserlough, Co. Cavan collected the domestic and canteen waste 1 times. The destination was Cavan County Council Landfill Site. The total weight was tons. c) Veterinary Waste Waste Code 1821 All sharps are stored in sealed drums. The sharps were collected twice by Transafe Ltd., 1A Renmore Business Complex, Kilcoole Industrial Estate, Co. Wicklow. The destination was Sterile Technologies Ireland Ltd., 43 Beech Road, Western Industrial Estate, Naas Road, Dublin 12. ii) Waste Monitoring and Analysis Waste Monitoring - Please find attached a monthly summary of the storage capacity of the tanks being measured on a weekly basis, in graph form. Analysis - We include for the Agency s attention copies of the laboratory analysis certificate for the slurry samples taken from Tanks A, C and D. These samples were analysed for Total N, Total P, Total K and % Dry Matter in accordance with Schedule 3 (iii). iii) Slurry/Manure Register These records in relation to the spreading of pig slurry have been completed throughout the land spreading period and have been submitted to the Agency on a two-monthly basis. We hereby submit a summary of this documentation for the past 12 months.

11 2. Nutrient Management Plan The Nutrient Management Plan for the year 29 land spreading programme has been submitted directly to you during January 29 by Carton Rural Consultants, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. The spreadland maps as submitted with the IPC Licence Application and 19th June 22 are still applicable. The original spreadland agreement s as submitted with the IPC Licence Application and 19th June 22 are still applicable. Table 11b(i) (Names and Addresses of participating Landowners) remains the same as submitted with the IPC Licence Application and 19th June 22, together with the additional landowners. 3. Ambient Soil Monitoring Programme All samples were taken either in January 26 or January 28. These have been outlined in the NMPs. The soil samples taken during January 26 are being redone.

12 4. Ground Water Discharge Monitoring There is one groundwater monitoring point identified in the IPC Licence, GW1. 13 5. Surface Water Discharge Monitoring Five surface water emission points, SW1, SW2, SW3, SW4 and SW5 have been sampled for BOD or COD since the grant of the IPC licence. These were analysed for COD during 28. We include copies of the laboratory analysis certificates for the Agency s attention. Investigation of the Possibility of Alternative Treatment Technologies such as Digestion for the Disposal of Slurry This statement is not covered in any condition within the licence and the licensee feels that it therefore should not feature in the AER content. Furthermore this is an issue which should be addressed by the pig industry as a whole rather than by individual operators. 32
