8 Details of ENCON measures taken Chemical Dosing In Cooling Tower water :- Observation:- In spite of using soft water with an average Total Hardness of 50 ppm as make up water of cooling tower, scale formation in cooling tower and chiller condenser was a regular problem. Challenge:- Heat exchange in condenser got affected due to rise in approach temperature**,which in turn increased the discharge pressure of compressor and compressor consumed more energy to over come this pressure, hence energy consumption went high. Solution:- We reduced the hardness to 30ppm and stated Chemical Dosing in cooling tower circulating water. The chemical includes 1. scale and corrosion inhibitor, 2. Polymeric dispersant, 3. Micro biocide and 4. Alkanets reducer. **Approach Temp of condenser is the difference of temperature of leaving saturated refrigerant and leaving water from condenser outlet, which is a best indicator of condenser cleanliness (As high is the scale formation in condenser tubing the approach temp will also be high)

But for some time now, we found some scale formation in the condenser tubing which would require chemical cleaning.

9 Details of ENCON measures taken Cleaning of Heat Exchanger of Chiller:- Although the scale formation is much lesser compared to the scale formation trend before, the chemical dosing practice has been developed. But for some time now, we found some scale formation in the condenser tubing which would require chemical cleaning. So, we engaged an expert agency for the job half yearly for de-scaling of the Chiller heat exchanger(condenser and evaporator) to keep the surface free of deposits. Benefits:-Continuous up-keep of chiller condenser and evaporator with very low scale deposition resulting in better performance

10 Details of ENCON measures taken Optimization of CT Fan Blade Angle:- To increase Cooling Efficiency the Engineering team has optimized the blade angle of CT fans, and the Cooling Tower V Belt tension checked monthly once and lubricants are checked.

Ltd. for disposal of waste. Their disposal site has around 75% of land greenery. Nursing staff are continuously trained by dedicated Infection Control Nurse on segregation of waste at source. All Housekeeping staff deputed for BMW Handling are adequately trained for proper storage, handling, transportation and disposal of waste, including usage of PPE during the process. Comparing our monthly energy consumptions with previous month s consumption as well as with last year s same month consumptions and taking actions to minimize the variance, if A task force comprising of Energy Managers, Field Engineers, Supervisors and Workmen has been identified and conduct monthly meeting to review the energy consumption pattern.
