1 U.S. Wind Industry Third Quarter Market Report October 2011 The U.S. wind industry installed 1,204 MW during the third quarter of 2011, bringing total installations in 2011 to 3,360 MW. The U.S. wind industry now totals 43,461 MW through the end of September There are over 8,400 MW currently under construction involving over 90 separate projects spanning 29 states.

Over 90 projects are currently under construction across 29 states, ranging from several 0.75 MW, single-turbine projects at Ohio schools to an 845 MW, 338 turbine project in Oregon.
