2 Why working on ICT for inclusion? > Europe 2020 targets on Inclusive Growth Increase employment from 69 to 75% of population: Focus on youth, older workers and low skilled workers, and the better integration of migrants Improve educational levels through: Reducing school drop-out rates below 10% Increasing the share of the population having completed tertiary education, at least 40% of years old Promote social inclusion through: Reducing poverty levels: at least 20 million fewer people in or at risk of poverty and social exclusion > DAE: Every European Digital
3 Evidence-based policy research on ICT for socio-economic inclusion Research Question: How can digital inclusion, digital competence, ICT mediated social interventions and ICT based social innovation for inclusion support inclusion of groups at risk of socio-economic exclusion? How can policy support these processes andtherelatedactors? Research focus: - Literature reviews - Mapping and analysis of good practices - Evidence of impact: impact assessment, statisticalz analysis - Analysis of enabling factors and conditions for effectiveness, deployment, scalability, replicability, transferability. 9 ICT-InnoCare: ICT enabled social innovation for active ageing and elderly care Background evidence (from CARICT): ICT (on-line social networks) are enabling a transformation of social relationships and organisation processes in domain of care services and family caring enabled: social networks and social capital development, peersupport, knowledge sharing, joined up services, and novel service development and testing. Third sector and volunteering are playing a key role as enablers of sustainable social innovation including use of new ICTs. However, how to promote, support and integrate these actors in multi-actor innovation processes needs still to be better understood. Research questions: (Macro) Good practice and Models of Public-Private-Third sector Partnerships in sustainable innovation of services and support for elderly care (EIP AHA PA B3) (Meso) Good practice and Models for promoting, supporting and integrating bottom-up social innovation (micro-volunteering) in active ageing and elderly care, enabled by social media (EIP AHA PA D3) (Micro) Which role / impact does on-line senior volunteering have on social innovation for healthy and active ageing (EIP AHA PA C3)
