1 Adding a New Hire in SuccessFactors When can you add a new hire? A new hire is manually added when a decision is made to hire a new employee in an approved and open position in the system. Only HR Admins can add new hires. Note: This process will be automated when recruitment module is rolled out in SuccessFactors. How do you add a new hire? add new in Search on navigation bar Click Add New Employee on list Add New Employee screen displays with the process steps (tabs) on top Enter the first required information on IDENTITY Tab Hire Date: Company: Event Reason: in or select date of hire Select company by typing in or scroll to find Select Hire New Employee Tip: Fields with asterisk (*) are required prior to proceeding to next step. Some fields become required only when information is entered into that section.

2 Complete the sections in IDENTITY tab with required information. Name First Name Last Name Enter employee name Enter employee last name 6 7 Biographical Employee Date of Birth Enter date of birth Leave blank. System will populate 8 National ID information Country: Select the country employee is hired in 6 National Id Card : National Id: Select the applicable ID. List displays based on the country selected Enter ID number. This section is optional and multiple IDs can be entered 7 Is Primary: Yes or No. Select if the entered ID is employee s primary ID or not 8

3 9 9 Click Next to continue to next step in the process 0 Complete the sections in the PERSONAL INFORMATION tab Note: Personal information fields should be used as needed per country guidelines. 0 Personal Gender (required) Enter employee s gender Contact Select Personal, Business or other Address Enter address Addresses Primary Emergency Contact Dependents (not visible for US) Is Primary Yes/No. Indicate if primary Enter employee s home address Add as many emergency contacts as needed This section is completed by the Benefits team

4 Click Next to continue to next step in the process 6 7 Complete the sections in the JOB INFORMATION tab: 6 7 Target Position Job in the position number from the new position added. Once selected, job information section will populate Employment Contract Contract Start Date Contract End Date Hours Goal Select hourly or salary from options Enter type of contract Enter date Enter date Enter hours Tip: Upload offer letter as attachment

5 8 8 Employment Details GE SSO ID As assigned from MyHR process. Begins with 60 or 00 PWS EID As assigned in PWS Oracle ID As assigned in PWS 9 Job Relationships Relationship Enter HR Manager, Matrix Manager, and Resource Manager (if field) 0 Work Permit Info Immigration team will populate this section 9 0

6 Click Next to continue to next step in the process Complete the sections in the COMPENSATION INFORMATION tab Compensation Pay Group Auto populated by system Pay Component If Salary = Base Salary If Hourly = Hourly Rate Amount Enter amount based on selected pay component Currency Auto populated Frequency If Salary, select frequency If Hourly, select Hourly The profile for Ali Rahm has been added into the system. Ali Rahm s Hire Date will be 0/0/07 Tip: Based on criteria, annual salary displays on screen. Add more pay components as needed. Click Save Tip: Navigate back to correct errors, using the tabs on top of page. Success screen will display. Click View Profile to confirm the new employee s profile or add another hire. 6

7 Re-hiring in SuccessFactors When do you re-hire an employee? Once an employee is terminated and a decision is made to re-hire the same employee, re-hire process is used. Note that a position needs to be open in the system. Only HR Admins can re-hire employees. How do you re-hire an employee? rehire in Search on the navigation bar Click Rehire Inactive Employee Click on a name on the list or use Search and click Go to find the employee then, click on name Add New Employee screen displays with the process steps on top Tips: Follow the same steps (tabs) as Adding a New Hire. All the fields auto populate from the employee record. Complete, review and modify any required information in each tab and continue by clicking Next Click Save to finalize re-hire process 7
