The heart of Chumile is to assist organisations and individuals to be more productive, efficient and value adding. The company helps businesses to be world class, competitive and to maximise the value that they provide for their customers. The company was established in 2012 and has its headquarters in the Nelson Mandela Bay, in the Eastern Cape. Chumile Consulting operates across a wide market and its services are applied in all sectors and geographies. The company works with individuals, large, medium and small enterprises, Section 21, Non-Governmental and Governmental organisations in South Africa and abroad. Chumile Consulting is 100% owned by a young black female. The company boasts a BEE rating of Level 1, and a preferential procurement recognition level of 135%. 4 3 General Information OUR TEAM Chumile Consulting is registered as a private company under the Companies Act, The company comprises of a team of professionals whose common goal and passion lies in continuous improvement, transformation and engineering. Their common goal and passion has led them to unite their skills and expertise for the purpose of delivering world class services. Overall leadership and responsibility for coordination of operations lies with the Executive Director, Violet Lupuwana. T h e t e a m m e m b e r s a r e a s s i g n e d i n accordance to their experience and expertise relevant to each project. Together these assets allow us to quickly adapt to changes in the operational environment while enabling us to implement projects that differ over a wide range of sizes and complexities. The projects range from improvements in the functioning and efficiency of organisations, to consulting on the organisational aspects of large national and multinational corporations. Chumile consulting offers business improvement solutions with great focus on engineering service, skills development and personal development. The company offers training and skills development in the areas that are aligned to business improvement solutions. These services include coaching; engineering consulting, project management and B-BBEE improvement services, for South African businesses. Our team comprises of highly qualified and professional engineers, consultants, business and life coaches and facilitators with over 53 years of combined work experience from different industries. The team is very passionate about providing business improvement solutions and personal empowerment. 7 6 Director s Profile Violet Lupuwana is the owner and Managing Directorof Chumile Consulting. She holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Her further professional qualifications include certificates in B-BBEE, counselling and she is a registered assessor with both the ETDP and Services SETAs. Violet is also a qualified facilitator, who has facilitated various programs such as B-BBEE, Lean Engineering, Project management, Capacity Building, but to name a few. She has over five years experience in life business coaching. and Her degree in engineering and her business leadership have afforded her an exciting 9- year long career in leading manufacturing, FMCG, automotive and training industries. During this time she has held various technical, management and leadership positions that have helped her gain a solid understanding of business, leadership, personal development and people management. She has acquired great work ethics and business experience in both the big corporates and SMME environments. entrepreneurs and people. The focus being to empower individuals to live more consciously, purposefully and meaningfully. Her coaching, training and consulting work is firmly rooted in this passion for transforming individuals, teams and organisations. In her previous work experience she occupied positions in Industrial Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Human Capital Development and Training facilitator. Violet is a value adding member of the Advisory committee of the Engineering department of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU). She is also a reliable and active Associate of the NMMU & MerSETA's Women in Engineering Leadership Association (WELA). She is also an associate of ECSA's Enginius program, where they promote Engineering careers in schools. She is a committee member of the South African Peer Educators Association and a member of South African Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS (SABCOHA). The team of Industrial Engineers have experience in the facilitation of Lean Manufacturing systems, Continuous Improvement systems, and world class principles in manufacturing industries, service industries, co-operatives and SMMEs. Their involvement with the organisations they worked for entailed training on World-class Principles, Coaching and Facilitation and setting up a Sustainable Plan for the growth which was driven by the internal Continuous Improvement Champions that they had trained and developed within the organisations. Coaching & Development Team The director of Chumile Consulting has extensive experience as and SMME owner and with other SMMEs and this has afforded her exciting years of experience as Business coach.
