1 1 Monitoring the Sustainable Development Goals Meeting to identify Asia-Pacific Regional and Sub-regional priorities Bangkok, Thailand, September 2015 ASEAN Leaders took the decision at the 23rd ASEAN Summit in November 2013 to develop a Post-2015 Vision to realise a politically cohesive, economically integrated, socially responsible, and a truly peopleoriented, people-centred and rules-based ASEAN. 2 1
2 ASEAN Community Vision 2025 is a visionary, progressive and forward-looking document produced by the HLTF, comprising ten highlevel Representatives from all ASEAN Member States, chaired by Malaysia as the ASEAN Chair HLTF is mandated to develop and formulate a robust and realizable Vision to guide ASEAN's evolvement over the next ten years. The final document will be presented to ASEAN Leaders in November 2015 when they meet in Kuala Lumpur for their endorsement and further guidance if necessary. 3 ASEAN Community Vision 2025 covering Political-Security Pillar (APSC), the Economic Pillar (AEC) and the Socio- Cultural Pillar (ASCC). A specific blueprint will be developed for each Pillar detailing the outcomes we want to achieve in the next ten years. This Document will serve as a general guide to further strengthen and integrate ASEAN over the next ten years. 4 2

The Broad Framework for the Sustainable Development of ASEAN Statistics reviewed to include new priorities, highlight the importance of consultation and advocacy mechanisms, and the critical role of international organizations as statistical development partners, and updated every three years 5. Midterm Review of the ACSS Strategic Plan Preparation of an appropriate budgeting framework for ACSS Strategic Plan updated to ACSS Strategic Plan with an accompanying budgeting framework 10 5
6 2.1 Strengthening methodology for improved availability, timeliness and comparability of key statistics for ASEAN Integration: IMTS, FDIS, SITS, as well as MDGs/SDGs and ACPMS indicators a. Regional Level Implementation 1. Define areas of improvement/roadmap under the IMTS, FDIS, SITS, as well as the MDGs/SDGs and ACPMS indicators 1. Roadmap/areas of improvement defined 2. ASEAN Statistical Indicators (ASI) list/framework is updated, as necessary, e.g. based on user needs survey and mandate/formal request from the respective ASEAN bodies Support ASEANstats in the definition of major regional framework/guidelines for harmonisation, collection, aggregation, and dissemination of ASEAN statistics on IMTS, SITS, FDIS, as well as MDGs/ ASEAN priority SDGs and ACPMS indicators 1. Recommendations on regional framework/ guidelines agreed at the respective working groups, and new/expanded data template defined ASEAN Statistical Report on MDGs, 2 nd Ed 3. ASEAN SDGs Framework (including ASEAN priority indicators) 4. Timely and comparable data on IMTS, SITS, FDIS, as well as MDGs/SDGs and ACPMS indicators 12 6

Promote the implementation of international standards and good practices; and enhance availability, timeliness and comparability of the said key ASEAN integration and ASEAN Community Post 2015 Vision statistics 1. Documentation of good practices are available/updated 3. Metadata and methodological documentation updated and improved 4.
