As India is not an exception, when global waves tending towards recession, India also triggered towards anti-recession tools of sustainable growth & all-round economic development through a lead in indigenous technology by using local resources as directed by Mahatma Gandhi. This situation in India motivated universities/institutions to provide the similar contemporary knowledge to young technocrats, who are the erectors of New India(Bharat Nirman) at source level of entrepreneurs, to achieve better out of best through efficient and effective utilization of managerial resources 5Ms(men, machines, methods, money & materials). Hence Management science probes into all-round business analysis. 1.2 Course Objectives: To understand the concept of management, administration, organization, objectives, nature, scope, role, responsibilities & approaches of a management. To understand concept & importance of OFC & different types of organization structures. To understand the role of management in production through PPC, Plant Location & Layout techniques, Quality Control, Work-study. To study Materials/Purchases/Stores/Inventory Management To Study Management of Marketing Mix, Physical Distribution & PLC Strategies. To study HRM/PMIR by Recruitment, Selection, Training & Development. To Study the PPC through PERT/CPM, Estimate Time/Costs & resource leveling & smoothing. To understand Strategic Mgt. & SWOT, CPP & Different types of functional strategies of a SBU. To study MIS, ERP, MRP, TQM, CMM, SCM, BPO, BPR, Bench Marking and Balance Score Card Course Outcomes: Able to apply the concepts & principles of management in real life industry.
