Paul is also a Maths/Science Teacher and Rodney is Head of Maths at Nambour Christian College. The Board has an advisor David Allen. The organisation is based in the school grounds. Paul is assisted by staff in the following roles: Personal Assistant, Accounts, Compliance, Administration, Business Development Officers, Resource Development Officers and Qualification Heads (TESOL, IT and Christian Ministry). Language Training Institute is a divison of Universal Education and Training Ltd and it is responsible for the training and delivery of 10317NAT Certificate IV in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and 10318NAT Diploma of TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Christian Ministry and Training is also advertised as a division of Universal Education and Training Page 1 of 39

2 Ltd and it is responsible for the training and delivery of 10433NAT Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology and 10434NAT Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology. The details of the organisation do not appear on the National Register. The organisation provides community assistance through the TESOL students teaching English to refugee students free of charge. Being course owners of the TESOL accredited course, it is also involved with issuing licencing agreements for use of the product. The organisation is also involved in IT consultancy and Christian ministry work. The organisation advised one of its goals is to establish a Christian University College on the Sunshine Coast. Universal Education and Training Ltd are in partnership with Universal Institute of Technology and New Horizons School of English to deliver and assess 10317NAT Certificate IV in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and 10318NAT Diploma of TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). The clients for Christian ministry subjects undertake core subjects through free bible college. The student pays for electives only. Core clients are pursuing a vocation in Chaplaincy. The core clients for ICA30111 Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology are mothers wishing to re-enter the workforce and low skill mature age students. Students entering into the TESOL qualifications are a broad range of all ages with no formal qualifications through to academic backgrounds from school leavers to retirees; wishing to teach English as they travel. Most of the delivery is online. With permanent delivery venues located at Nambour Christian College, Melbourne Crossway Baptist Church, Coffs Harbour Community College and Thursday Island. The organisation s fee model is fee for service or donation. The organisation has enrolled 7 students under Certificate 3 Guarantee in ICA30111 Information, Digital Media and Technology. Two of these students have completed. Note the following clauses were examined within the audit scope; however, were identified as not applicable to the current audit context: 1.7, 1.15, 1.17, 1.8, 1.19, 1.20, 1.26, 1.27, 5.4, 6.4, 6.6, 7.3 and 8.2. The evidence guidance is not designed to limit the audit findings and there may be other factors an auditor takes into consideration when determining whether compliance has been demonstrated. Where evidence of non-compliance is identified, the Reasons for finding of non-compliance section of the report will document the issues that were considered in the formulation of a finding of non-compliance. 5 Standard 1 The RTO s training and assessment strategies and practices are responsive to industry and learner needs and meet the requirements of training packages and VET accredited courses. To be compliant with Standard 1 the RTO must meet the following: 1.1 The RTO s training and assessment strategies and practices, including the amount of training they provide, are consistent with the requirements of training packages and VET accredited courses and enable each learner to meet the requirements for each unit of competency or module in which they are enrolled. The evidence provided does not demonstrate that the organisation s strategies and practices are consistent with the requirements of the relevant Training Package for the specific reasons as described below: o The strategy for ICA30111 Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology did not reference BSBWHS304A Participate effectively in WHS communication and consultative processes as listed on the National Register. o The strategy for 10433NAT Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology did not identify the elective modules it is resourced to deliver meeting the requirements of the Accredited Course packaging rules. 6 1.2 For the purposes of Clause 1.1, the RTO determines the amount of training they provide to each learner with regard to: a) the existing skills, knowledge and the experience of the learner; b) the mode of delivery; and c) where a full qualification is not being delivered, the number of units and/or modules being delivered as a proportion of the full qualification. The practical session documentation is marked by the Supervisor and then reviewed by the Trainer/Assessor. There is no mechanism in place for the trainers to mark the student against the required skills.
