To provide the knowledge about construction, operation and characteristics of JFET, MOSFET and Thyristors. 2. To study the construction, operation, characteristics and applications of optoelectronic and miscellaneous devices. 3. To gain knowledge of multistage amplifiers, negative feedback amplifiers and power amplifiers. 4. To study power electronic circuits such as controlled rectifiers, DC choppers and inverters. Course Outcomes: A student who successfully completes this course should be able to 1. Understand the basic principle of operation and characteristics of JFET, MOSFET and Thyristors. 2. Differentiate the characteristics and their importance of different optoelectronic and miscellaneous devices. 3.
