2 A Ambition We could have begun with Accountancy or even Audit, of course, and who would have been surprised if we did? But both of these are just parts (albeit very important parts) of who we are and what we do. The professional services we provide to clients are a lot broader than that. Our purpose is to make an outstanding impact on the reputation and success of our clients, in the UK and globally. Today, our expertise covers everything from tax advice and assurance work to strategic consultancy and support for major corporate deals. 7 F Frog Yes, it s true, we have a frog. A real, rainforest-inhabiting frog. Our African conservation partners honoured us in 2011 by naming a new species Nectophrynoides deloittei, in recognition of our help protecting the Ruhebo forest in Tanzania. They also told us it was fine to call it the Deloitte Frog, which is a big relief to everyone concerned.

9 H History We have a rich heritage as a firm. In fact, our history stretches back to 1845, when William Welch Deloitte opened his first office in London. By 1993, after mergers with other firms founded by George Touche and Nobuzo Tohmatsu, we became the international member firm network known today as Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited.
