Project Overview Describe the product or service of the project, the reason the project was undertaken, and the purpose of the project. Installing and maintaining RFID technology will allow ACME to strategically design their warehouse work-flow, monitor shipments, maintain inventory levels, and maximize production. An investment in RFID technology will provide a means to cut expenses long-term while maintaining and obtaining new clients.

2 III. Project Goals Objectives Describe the project goals using the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Accurate and Agreed to, Realistic, Time Bound) formula. These goals will be used to measure and determine the project's success at its conclusion. 1) Install and implement RFID technology within 60 days of project approval 2) Reduce labor expenses by $45,000 within the first year of implementation 3) Utilize RFID technology to implement a dynamic layout system that will optimize the warehouse for maximum efficiency (BLOCKPLAN). This will be an ongoing process over the first year. 4) Accomodate economies of scale w/large accounts within first year of implementation. IV. Comprehensive List of Project Deliverables These are the products or services that must be produced in order to fulfill the goals of the project. Deliverables should have measurable, verifiable results and outcomes. Identify critical success factors. 1) Complete project budget by 02/20 2) Communicate upcoming changes to employees 03/01 3) Order RFID tags, gates, equiptment, software 03/05 4) Obtain vendor approval and sign contracts 03/10 5) Obtain floor plan changes from engineer 03/15 6) Contract with IT specialists for system instalation 03/20 7) Install RFID systems 04/01 8) Adjust and design the dynamic layout 04/05 9) Ensure inventory is reporting accurately 4/10 10) System testing and implementation 4/15

3 V. Comprehensive List of Project Requirements Requirements are the specifications of the deliverables. 1) Organize townhall meeting. Outline agenda and changes 2) Ensure RFID tags fit vendor requirements 3) RFID equiptment prepared for install 4) Warehouse managers update current inventory levels 5) Integrate RFID software with WMS 6) RFID gates meet warehouse size requirements 7) Strategically test warehouse layout for efficiency 8) RFID forklift data must be transmitted in real time 9) RFID shipping docks and sortation gates are setup 10) Storage layout updated by BLOCKPLAN VI. Exclusions from Scope List all deliverables or requirements that are not part of this project. 1) Ability to obtain new clients and scale their operation. 2) Improve customer experiences and service levels 3) Maximize employee production 4) Reduce sortation and storage timeframes 5) Adjust, monitor, and maintain a storage facility that is optimized constantly for max efficiency.

4 VII. Time and Cost Estimates Include initial estimates of time and resources. these are estimates only and will be updated after additional project planning activities are completed. Project BLOCKPLAN will take 60 days to complete start to finish. This will include installation, testing, and implementation. The project will cost an estimate $100k initial investment with a maintainence and parts cost of $25k annually. It will take our existing leadership team, IT specialists, and current employees to successfully install, implement, and maintain the project. VIII. Roles and Responsibilities Attach a roles and responsibilities chart, detailing project responsibilities.

5 IX. Assumptions List all project assumptions. 1) RFID equiptment is delivered before 4/01 2) Employees are receptive to the changes 3) IT Specialists are briefed and prepared by 3/20 4) Vendors and clients are excited for the RFID system 5) Customers approve the system and have the technology to accept and use RFID technology 6) The project timeline of 60 days is realistic. Ideally, we can finish early and have plenty of time for testing X. Project Acceptance Criteria List all project acceptance criteria. It is critical that the investment in RFID technology will save the company money in the long term. Per our initial estimates, the ACME will break-even in 6.5 years. Generally speaking, this is a long repayment scheduled. That being said, the RFID systems are starting to be used by our customers, vendors, and clients. In order for us to stay competitive and relevant, we will eventually need to upgrade. That being said, there is opporunity to scale the business and obtain larger more profitable accounts by implenting the technology early. Additionally, it will allow us to maintain our large clients and potentially expand business activities with them.

6 XI. Constraints List all project constraints. 1) Leadership needs to be 100% onboard for the project. Within support from upper management, the project will be difficult to execute. 2) Daily business interuptions. We cannot stop operations for 2 months while the equitpment is being integrated. We will need to make the transition quick and seemless. 3) Lack of rsources and skills. This is new technology and requires experienced users. We will need training and a specialist to help facilitate the integration. 4) Poor communication will slow down the process. XII. Signatures Include the signatures of the project sponsor, project manager, key stakeholders, customers, and vendors.
