4 Warehouse - Put Away Inventory DELMIA Apriso 2017 Business Process Flow Guide 4 1 Introduction This document describes in detail the Putaway Inventory scenario responsible for moving Inventory to a configured Warehouse Location in DELMIA Apriso. 1.1 Installation To install the Putaway Inventory Business Process Flow (BPF), please locate the GPM package on the DELMIA Apriso DVD in the BPF directory and deploy it using Global Process Manager. The package name is: BPF - Warehouse - Put Away Inventory 11.0.gpm. Once deployed, an additional Menu Item will appear: Put Away Inventory. For details about deploying packages, refer to the Global Process Manager Online Help.

5 Warehouse - Put Away Inventory DELMIA Apriso 2017 Business Process Flow Guide 5 2 General 2.1 Description The main Standard Operation of this BPF APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory is responsible for putting away Inventory in a Warehouse. This Operation invokes several Sub-Operations, which are described in the sections below. The Operation is meant to be used with a new Inventory model (Inventory 2). The Inventory can be put away after being received or after a production process. Both these processes require Inventory to be moved to a certain Warehouse Location, which is suggested by the system. This Business Process Flow shows how to proceed to perform the Putaway in DELMIA Apriso. The flow can be extended with other elements, for example, additional validations. 2.2 Assumptions 1 Container and Serial Numbers a maximum of nine (9) items with the same number should exist in the system. When scanning an ambiguous item, the APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory_PAI-30 Operation will only display the first nine items to choose from: a Container (if one exists) and the Serial Numbers of different Products. 2 Warehouse Locations a maximum of nine (9) Warehouse Locations with the same name should exist in the system. If there are more than nine, the APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory_PAI-40 Operation will only display the first nine to choose from. 2.3 Prerequisites In order to move Inventory with the use of the APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory Standard Operation, the following conditions must be met: 1 A Container or Serial Number must exist in Inventory. 2 The Putaway Strategy Determination and Putaway Location Determination must be configured to return a Location for the item to be moved. For information on how to set or define the items mentioned above, refer to the Inventory Lookup Online Help and Warehouse Maintenance Online Help.

It enables choosing a destination Warehouse Location for the specified Serial or Container, and performs the move transaction for the item from the source Warehouse Location to the destination Location.

7 Warehouse - Put Away Inventory DELMIA Apriso 2017 Business Process Flow Guide User Actions Table 1 APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory To start the process of Inventory Putaway with the use of this Business Process Flow, invoke the operation by choosing one of the following methods: Navigate to the operation in DELMIA Apriso Portal using the search field Navigate to the operation in DELMIA Apriso Desktop Client using the search field Open Put Away Inventory Menu Item located in the Warehouse folder in Apriso Classic Portal Figure 2 Put Away Inventory Menu Item 3.2 Inventory Selection Standard Operation Sub-Operation Description APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory_ This Standard Operation accepts the Serial Number or PAI-10 Container and validates if it exists. Once the item is scanned, the system checks if it is unique, as the same number can exist for a Container or multiple Serials (of different Products). If the item is unique, the system goes to the APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory_PAI-20 Operation Otherwise, the system invokes the APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory_PAI-30 Operation, which allows the user to choose which item was scanned (the Container or Serial for a certain Product) User Actions Table 2 APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory_PAI-10 Scan or enter the Container or Serial Number to move.

The list may consist of a Container and Serial Numbers of different Products. Then the system goes to the APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory_PAI-20 Standard Operation User Actions Table 3 APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory_PAI-30 Choose from the list the Inventory item that was scanned. 9 Warehouse - Put Away Inventory DELMIA Apriso 2017 Business Process Flow Guide Destination Location Selection Standard Operation Sub-Operation Description APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory_ This Standard Operation finds the suggested PAI-20 destination Warehouse Location for the previously scanned Inventory item (Serial or Container) if the Putaway Determinations are set If there is no applicable Putaway Determination then the Proposed Location is displayed as Not Found on the screen. Then the user can scan the actual destination Warehouse Location where the Inventory will be put away. If the Location name is ambiguous, the APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory_PAI-40 Operation is invoked Otherwise, the Inventory item is moved (by the main Operation) to the destination Warehouse Location. The system goes back to APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory_PAI User Actions This Operation uses the following Business Component methods to determine the Putaway Locations for Serial Numbers: DeterminePutawayLocation SortInventory2PutawayLocation For Containers, the system calls the APR_WH.GetContainerPutawayLocations Sub- Operation that uses the following BCs: DeterminePutawayLocationForContainer SortPutawayLocationForContainer Table 4 APR_WH_PAI-PutAwayInventory_PAI-20 Scan the destination Warehouse Location. Use the Next button to see the next best suggested Location suggested.

10 Warehouse - Put Away Inventory DELMIA Apriso 2017 Business Process Flow Guide 10 Figure 5 Destination Location Selection 3.5 Warehouse Location Selection Standard Operation Sub-operation Description APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory_ This Operation displays a list of all Warehouse PAI-40 Locations that have the same name as the Location entered on the previous screen. The user can choose the correct Warehouse Location. Then the Inventory item is moved (by the main Operation) to the destination Warehouse Location. The system goes back to the APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory_PAI-10 Operation User Actions Table 5 APR_WH_PAI.PutAwayInventory_PAI-40 Select the correct Warehouse Location from the list by typing its number in the box. 11 Warehouse - Put Away Inventory DELMIA Apriso 2017 Business Process Flow Guide 11 4 User Interface Standard Operations This section describes the Standard Operations responsible for generating the user interface on every screen of this Business Process Flow. 4.1 APR_WH_PAI.UI_DisplayHeader This Operation displays a screen header with a user-defined logo, title, and screen code. The screen code and a screen title are defined for every screen when the Operation is called, while the logo is defined in the Operation with the use of a Business Control. Figure 7 APR_WH_PAI.UI_DisplayHeader 4.2 APR_WH_PAI.UI_DisplayFooter This Operation displays a screen footer with navigation in the form of buttons or text. The navigation mode is defined for every screen when the Operation is called, and the modes are: TEXT DEVICE navigation with numeric keypad BUTTONS navigation with regular buttons The rendering of the navigation calls the APR_WH_PAI.UI_GetButtonsByScreen screen Operation, which defines the navigation.

It calls the APR_WH_PAI_BUTTON_CONFIG determination containing definitions of the buttons. The labels of the buttons are defined as System Parameters, and matched by the ButtonName Output of this Determination.
