5 COMMERCIAL & RESIDENTIAL LABOR STATEMENT Please take time to read and understand the contents of this booklet. It clearly defines the labor allowance policy covering the product and the dealers and distributors responsibilities. You will also learn what is not covered under the labor policy. PROVIDER: ALLIED AIR ENTERPRISES 215 METROPOLITAN DRIVE WEST COLUMBIA, SC The policy and procedure outlined and stated in this document covers Commercial and Residential labor concession allowances. WHAT IS COVERED: Labor concession provided for Allied Air Enterprises products installed within the United States and Canada sold under the trade name Allied Commercial, Amrstrong Air, AirEase, Ducane, Concord, and Magic-Pak are subject to the terms and conditions described herein. ALLOWANCE PERIOD: The allowance period begins when the unit is installed. You must be able to verify this date whenever a claim is made. Original bill of sale, installer s invoice or other similar documents will suffice. If the installation date cannot be verified, we will consider coverage to begin 90-days after the product was manufactured as listed in date code of the unit serial number. Example of date codes: (5614B07245) 14 is year 2014 and B is the month of February (the letter I is not used as a month). WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER THIS ALLOWANCE POLICY: The following items are not covered under this concession: 1. Freight costs 2. Scratches or discoloration of decorative finishes or any panels 3. Normal maintenance items such as filters, fan belts, fuses, refrigerant, refrigerant line sets, oil nozzles, driers or other consumable items 4. Damage caused by misuse, shipping & handling, failure to properly maintain, accident, inappropriate procedure, or acts of God 5. External wiring, piping, venting or attachment of accessory products not integral to the product, including without limitation, humidifier, air cleaner, vent damper, thermostat, or other mechanical devices not manufactured by the warrantor 6. Products that have been operated in a corrosive atmosphere or otherwise in contact with corrosive material (chlorine, fluorine, salt, recycled waste water, urine, fertilizers, halogenated hydrocarbons or other corrosive elements) that cause deterioration to metal surfaces or integral components. Operation in a corrosive atmosphere is considered abuse and voids this warranty 7. Products that have NOT been installed in accordance with published instructions, applicable local, state/provincial, or national codes, and the Air Conditioning Contractors of America s (ACCA) published standards 8. Product must be properly installed, operated, and proof that the product has been maintained in accordance with the unit installation, operation, and maintenance instructions provided with the unit COMMERCIAL & RESIDENTIAL LABOR STATEMENT

6 9. Products that have been moved from their original place of installation 10. Does not pay for increases in electrical or fuel costs for any reason, including addition of supplemental heat 11. Any compressor-bearing unit not installed with Air Conditioning Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) or Allied Air Enterprises listed matching refrigerant components. 12. Installation of accessories or kits 13. Operation of electrical equipment at voltages other than the range specified on the unit nameplate. (Includes damaged caused by brownouts) 14. Operation of furnaces with return air temperatures of less than 60ºF. (16ºC) or furnaces that have been installed downstream of a cooling coil 15. Use of contaminated or alternate refrigerant 16. Installation of accessories of accessory kits COMMERCIAL LABOR ALLOWANCES NOTE: ALL DOLLAR AMOUNTS LISTED ARE IN U.S. DOLLARS. The following are the allowances for work performed on Commercial products within the first 30-days of installation of unit when installed in Commercial applications only. Labor rates are calculated at a standard rate of $85 per hour. Increased labor allowances (not to exceed 30% more than standard allowances) must be requested by a Distributor Service Representative II or higher. The Distributor Service Representative must fill out a Commercial Allied Labor Form (CALF). Submitting this form does not guarantee approval; you will be notified regarding the authorization of the request. Distributors must participate in the Distributor Service Representative program to apply for an additional labor request. Allied will honor a maximum of one labor request per serial number. 7 RESIDENTIAL LABOR ALLOWANCES NOTE: ALL DOLLAR AMOUNTS LISTED ARE IN U.S. DOLLARS. The following are the allowances for work performed on Armstrong Air or AirEase products within the first 90-days of installation of unit or Ducane or Concord product within the first 30-days of installation when installed in residential applications only. Labor rates are calculated at a standard rate of $55 per hour. Increased labor allowances (not to exceed 30% more than standard allowances) must be requested by a Distributor Service Representative II or higher. The Distributor Service Representative must fill out an Allied Labor Form (ALF). Submitting this form does not guarantee approval; you will be notified regarding the authorization of the request. Distributors must participate in the Distributor Service Representative program to apply for an additional labor request. Allied will honor a maximum of one labor request per serial number.
