3 ACCELLOS ONE WAREHOUSE S INTRODUCTION TO ACCELLOS ONE WAREHOUSE S To provide customers with maximum flexibility and cost effective solutions, Accellos offers three pre-packages editions, as well as modular licensing that lets customers pinpoint the functions and systems they wish to purchase as part of their Accellos One Warehouse system. The pre-packages editions Collect Edition, Manage Edition and Fulfill Edition, are designed to meet the requirements and scope of a variety of distribution centers. All additional functionality offered by Accellos One Warehouse is licensed individually on a modular basis, which includes Modules and Toolkits. The Editions and Modules and Toolkits are described in the sections following. COLLECT The Collect Edition is the basic or easy edition of Accellos One Warehouse. Collect is designed to be a true entry level product. It offers simplified user processes and implementation, while still providing a robust WMS solution. Concentrating on the basic features, this version has a streamlined setup and configuration process that lets customers get up and running with less effort and a minimized learning curve. MANAGE The Manage Edition is essentially the Collect Edition with the addition of the Kitting, Multi-Zone and Labor Standards modules. It maintains the simplicity of the entry level Collect Edition, while providing: Kitting for sites that need some sort of production facility. Multi-zone functionality for sites that need to use zones for specific purposes such as hazmat or freezers or if they define their warehouse layout using different zones. Labor standards functionality, as well as the ability to optionally add other modules, as required. FULFILL The Fulfill Edition builds on the features and functions of the Collect/Manage Editions by adding some of the most commonly used advanced features. Fulfill addresses the desire for the most frequently requested enhancements, without requiring customers to buy specialized features they don t need. Growing businesses will find that the upgrades in the Fulfill package provide additional functionality for current and future needs. 3

4 OPTIONAL MODULES AND TOOLKITS Since many businesses have specialized needs, Accellos One Warehouse offers numerous modules/toolkits that can be purchased individually. Accellos understands that businesses don t want to buy functionality that they will never use or that they don t have the infrastructure to support. Therefore, the new licensing model allows you to pinpoint and purchase only the modules/toolkits you require. Modules are a standard set of functions that do not require any additional development to implement. Toolkits are used by our Professional Services Development Team to build custom solutions for customers. For example, we have the ability to control carousels and conveyors, but each site requires some level of customization. The customer would be required to purchase the Warehouse Automation Toolkit and then a number of days of custom development at our standard PS rates in order to implement a complete solution. 4

7 MODULE DESCRIPTION This section provides a description of each Accellos One Warehouse module, and summarizes the key features of each module. CORE RF MODULES The Core RF modules are the foundation for inventory control, inbound, outbound and intra-warehouse movement. The Core RF modules themselves are included in all editions (Collect, Manage, and Fulfill), although some specific features may be unavailable, or optional in some editions. The Basic Workflow modules themselves are included in all editions (Collect, Manage, Fulfill) although some specific features may unavailable, or optional in some editions. 15 MANAGE MODULES The Manage Editions includes the Multi-Zone, Kitting and Labor Standards modules in addition to the Collect Edition functionality. MODULE NAME COLLECT MANAGE FULFILL MULTI-ZONE: Designed to allow the flexibility to define multiple zones within your warehouse and set up discrete rules within each bin. (Tip: A Zone is a group of bins defining a specific area in the warehouse. Zones may be actual physical areas, such as ground floor and mezzanine. 16 MODULE NAME COLLECT MANAGE FULFILL LABOR STANDARDS: Allows a site to define their expected labor standards, and subsequently to use those standards for labor estimates and metrics relative to expected Each Accellos One Warehouse installation can define it s own expected labor standards for Picking, Receiving, Material Handling, and Cycle Counting Labor standards defined for Picking and Receiving are used to forecast labor requirements for Sales Orders and Purchase Orders, which display on the main Orders screens in Web Dispatch. 17 FULFILL MODULES The Fulfill Editions enhances the Management Edition by adding a collection of modules to optimize distribution centre operation. MODULE NAME COLLECT MANAGE FULFILL DIRECTED PUTAWAY: Provides slotting functionality for the optimal placement of products within the warehouse. Useful to optimize warehouse layout and maximize picker productivity by ensuring high-volume products are stored in the best possible bin. Also, Unique product handling requirements and/or restrictions (for example, freezer, hazardous materials) Determines optimal bins for putaway based on velocity, handling codes, size locations primary locations, alternate locations and overflow locations. Material handlers in Receiving, Direct Move, and Fill Bins are directed to the optimal putaway bin based on pre-defined algorithm Includes Slotting Reports that can be used to recommend product moves to improve productivity System-directed moves. Handheld functions that let warehouse staff manage an electronic queue of reslotting tasks. 20 MODULE NAME COLLECT MANAGE FULFILL ADVANCE REPLENISHMENT: Ability to issue replenishment requests before stock is required for sales orders, proactively filling the primary pick bins in advance of sales orders. Useful for warehouse operations that have a separate replenishment shift for keeping primary pick bins filled to capacity (for example, in carousel environments where picking happens during the day and replenishment happens at night). Note: Each ERP system supports this functionality slightly differently. Please work with your reseller to determine how this will work in your specific environment. RMAs: Receive products against Returned Materials Authorizations (RMAs) which allows customers to return products to the warehouse Includes a Returns Order Entry Web Dispatch function, END OF LINE (EOL) WORKFLOW: Controls what additional processes happen to sales orders after they are fully picked. Container Receiving Receive products into the warehouse against an inbound manifest rather than individual purchase orders. Containers can be downloaded from the ERP or defined through the Accellos One Warehouse system Simplifies check-in, improves accuracy and speeds receiving operations. Random Receiving Receive by product number and let the system determine which purchase order to receive against ASN Receiving ASN license plate /Tracking numbers can be downloaded with the purchase order from the host accounting system. ASNs (Advance Shipping Notices) are an efficient way of receiving stock into the warehouse, based on a license plate /tracking/track trace number Not Available 23

24 MODULE NAME COLLECT MANAGE FULFILL LICENSE PLATES: provides an effective way of grouping products onto pallets (or into cartons) for easy movement and tracking throughout the warehouse.license plates make handling related products more efficient, especially pre-packs and serialized items Serialized Items Rather than identifying every serial number every time a pallet is moved, serial numbers are efficiently tracked and moved through the warehouse using license plates Pre-packs are mixed cartons created by vendors they contain multiple items in specific quantities that are ordered by customers and therefore are never typically opened. Each Pre-Pack requires a license plate. License plates can be created through Receiving, Miscellaneous Adjustments that add stock to the warehouse, and Direct Moves. Once the license plate is created, you can add and remove products from the license plate, move and assign the license plate to a new bin, or pick the license plate to fulfill a sales order. Single-item license plates can cycle counted, including the ability to add new single-item license plates during cycle counting and License Plate Audit where you can confirm which license plates are stored in a bin, but not the contents. CARTONIZATION: Using dimensional product data and standard boxes, splits sales orders into individual cartons before being released for picking. When orders are allocated, they are automatically split up into their discrete cartons for picking directly to shipping container. Sales orders are split into multiple cartons based on the dimensions and weight of each product as well as the fill rate (target and maximum), weight restrictions, and dimensions of each box. Each carton is treated like a separate order in the system, all cartons must be finished before information is uploaded to the ERP.
