The module includes the steering wheel commands recovery. Below the list of the main features: Viewing with a composite video output. USB port for software updating. Video input to maintain the rear view camera visualization (selectable option). Radio control via the steering wheel commands of the vehicle. INSTALLATION AND USE MANUAL Service outputs such as ignition, odometer, lights and handbrake. AUTO LEARNING AND FUNCTIONS For the Videotronik 2.0 module connection the use of a plug and play harness is suggested; this solution allows to install the module as well as the radio monitor in few and safe steps. The protocol selection is made in SELF-RECOGNITION; once the connections are completed, inserting the module in the 22-poles connector, the unit will run the synchronization in about one second, indicated by fast RED flashing of the module s LED; at the recognition of the vehicle, the LED of VIDEOTRONIK 2.0 will turn on GREEN to confirm the correct car protocol setting. Now you need to set the radio profile, following the inside menu. WARRANTY CONDITION THIS PRODUCT IS GUARANTEED 2 YEARS FOR ANY MANUFACTURING DEFECT. 2 SOFTWARE UPGRADE Videotronik 2.0 is equipped with a USB port, A vertical format. The USB socket handles the unit software upgrade. The update is automatic, uploading the file fwp073ununxxx.fwp (XXX = version) to the USB stick. The file is downloadable from the website in the download section. To execute the upgrade it, please make the following steps: Remove the harness fuse Hold the button down and power the device, entering the fuse, the LED of Videotronik 2.0 will flash yellow. Insert the key, the LED will flash red-yellow, indicating that the device is being updated. After the upgrade, the LED will assume a state that can be: Flashing red (in case the device has not recognized CANBUS data before). Fix green (in case the device has recognized CANBUS data before). CAR CONNECTOR Protocol selection is done in SELF-LEARNING, once completed the connection inserting the module to the connector, the unit will make in around one second, the sincronization shows with fast RED flashing on the module Select the new function such as SOURCE, fig.12. The unit is now ready WARNING! IF YOU WANT TO INSTALL THE SAME INTERFACE ON A NEW CAR IT S NECESSARY TO MAKE THE RESET OF THE MODULE. RESET: 1. WITH THE UNIT POWERED, PLEASE PRESS AND KEEP PRESSED THE BUTTON TILL THE LED SWITCHES OFF. 2. WITH THE LED SWITCHED OFF, PLEASE LEAVE THE BUTTON: THE RESET IS DONE. 5 RADIO CONTROLS PERSONALIZATION The menu Key assignment allows to disable keys unwanted or to vary the function of an acquired key, fig. 10 KEY FUNCTIONS ASSIGNMENTS -- KEY* FUNC VOL + 2 VOL - 3 SEEK + 4 SEEK - 5 MUTE To change the function of a button you must: - select the function to change, for example MUTE, fig the column on the right will be shown. This will allow you to choose the new feature or disable the button if you set DISABLED. Check the correct connection of the power cables. The unit is properly powered on but the LED on the module is switched off and the unit does not work. Check the CANBUS cable connections / Try to press the button briefly. The unit is properly connected and the LED blinks RED fast. The unit can not synchronize the CANBUS, please contact the manufacturer. The unit is properly connected and the LED blinks RED irregular. Check the CANBUS cable connections. LED STATUS The tri-color LED on the front of the VT can assume the following states: Off = No power or low power state Steady red = CAN bus line partial recognition Flashing red = CAN bus line is not recognized / deleted profile car Fix Green = CAN bus line recognized Flashing yellow = active update mode The unit is properly connected and the LED is on steady RED. The unit has performed the synchronization of the CANBUS but does not recognize the car. Contact the manufacturer. CLIMATE CONTROLS VISUALIZATION VIDEOTRONIK 2.0 shows the climate control state, in the compatible cars, each time an operation on the button panel is done. The display is shown as in the picture below. 12 5

PARKING SENSORS VISUALIZATION VIDEOTRONIK 2.0 can show a graphic visualization of the OEM or aftermarket parking sensors if the car is provided with. Visualization is like in the picture below.

SWITCHING PROCEDURE FROM THE PARKING SENSORS TO THE REAR CAMERA It s possible, during the parking sensors visualization, to switch to the rear camera. This is possible through this sequence: Volume +, Volume-, Volume +, Volume- OR by pressing the SRC/MODE button This sequence can be used also for the switching from the rear camera to the parking sensors. 7 WARNING! ENTER THE KEY LEARNING MENU, SHOWN IN FIGURE 7, WILL DELETE ALL BUTTONS PREVIOUSLY MEMORIZED. WHEN ENTERING THIS MENU, PAY ATTANTION NOT TO PRESS ANY BUTTONS ON THE WHEEL. THIS PROCESS WILL CLEAR ACTUAL VALUES OF LEARNT ANALOG STEERING WHEEL BUTTONS AND CAN MAKE BUTTONS UNWORKING fig.7 MENU MANAGING Using the steering wheel buttons with the sequence: Seek+, Seek -, Seek +, Seek -, it is possible to enter the Videotronik MENU both with resistive steering wheel (if acquired) and CAN-BUS; Figure 1 shows the main page. It is also possible to access the menu by pressing three times the reset button. In the menu press the button briefly to move among items, a long press confirms the selected item, see fig.4; You can also move using the buttons on the steering wheel, the Vol + button allows you to "Confirm", the keys Seek + (DOWN), Seek - (UP) allow you to scroll through the items. ARE YOU SURE? YES NO Press each buttons like shown in the menu and wait until the writing DONE appears! 8 The menu is divided into two sections: SYSTEM INFORMATION, where active configurations and options are shown, as well as auto radios type, car type etc., Fig. 2; SYSTEM SETTINGS, composed of 5 sub-menus that allow you to change the radio profile, front and rear parking sensor type, vehicle profile, and to learn and set resistive steering wheel buttons, fig. 3. Select Back option to return to the previous menu, select to exit the menu. You only have to select the radio profile number needed trought the specific menu shown in figure 4. Menu management is made always using the reset button or trought the steering wheel commands like explained at page 7 RADIO PROFILE [ 1 ] OK CANCEL RESISTIVE STEERING WHEEL COMMANDS CONFIGURATION Videotronik 2.0 can manage resistive steering wheel commands, connections to be done are explained in the attached manual. Once the connections are made it is possible to configure the buttons trought the Analog Steering Wheel Buttons settings menu. Inside the Analog Steering Wheel Buttons Menu you can find the following sub-menu: Key learning, which alòlows you to acquire the buttons and Function assignement which allows to give to variuos buttons different functions, for cars having analogue steering wheel commands, fig.6 The interface has set by default resistive values of Ford cars made from ANALOG STEERING WHEEL BUTTONS SETTINGS KEYS LEARNING FUNCTION ASSIGNEMENT fig.4 fig.6 8 9
