2 The Pick Manager by E+P for the optimum integration of Pick-by-Voice in your IT infrastructure The Pick Manager is a standard system solution for Pick-by-Voice in your warehouse. Our Pick-by-Voice software solution can be used as an independent software module in association with any material management or warehouse management system. The Pick Manager is simple to install and has already been used in many successful applications. The modular structure means that the system can be added at any time, or can be integrated into a new IT structure. Non-manufacturer-dependent system solution for all Voice Terminals In our standard version, we offer our customers the Pick Manager in combination with the Pick-by-Voice terminals from Vocollect, the world s leading manufacturer of voice-controlled pick systems. Our non-manufacturerdependent software also supports all other standard commercial voice devices and can be used with other media, such as RF terminals. The communication interface to the peripheral hardware has been specifically designed for future media such as RFID. This open interface technology provides further security of investment. Functions and system requirements The Pick Manager controls paper-free picking using voice commands based on pick data. The independent software module imports the data from the super-ordinate host system, oversees the entire picking process and reports the actual quantities in real time. The pick data can be provided by all conceivable data sources from a simple Excel file to IDOCs from an SAP environment; every file format can be used without restriction. Even the most basic of pick list printouts can be converted to a text file and integrated into the Pick Manager. 2 Pick Manager

3 Autodidactic system for the best performance Improving performance implicates more than transferring data from the host system. Not only does the Pick Manager has access to item master data, but it can also check the warehouse geometry, if necessary, to optimize its own paths and picking sequence. As the E+P system solution is autodidactic, the master data it requires is automatically created. The Pick Manager provides our customers with a high increase in efficiency, without additional investment. 4 The Voice Terminals Talkman from Vocollect The Voice Terminals Talkman T2x and T5 are voicecontrolled computers for mobile data recording within a radio frequency network for all industrial applications. Developed by the world s leading provider of process automation, Vocollect, the devices enable quick and secure real-time communication with warehouse management and other host systems. The Talkman can be integrated easily into new or existing b, WECA compatible RF systems and can be used for non-dialect-dependent voice recognition with a noise volume of up to 93 db(a). Voice recognition and length of operation During a training session, the Talkman saves an individual voice profile for each employee. This one-off voice and operation training session takes just 20 minutes, after which the employee can begin to work immediately. The integrated voice recognition software works 100 per cent in other languages, irrespective of user and dialect. The length of operation with a standard battery is 8 hours; with a high performance battery, it is considerably longer. Interfaces and data security The Talkman T2X and T5 are compatible with all available standard and in-house host systems and are connected via TCP/IP sockets. The memory in the voice terminal archives all data before send it by RF. The entire communication with the host system is secured against data loss in the case of a loss of power. In addition to the standard WEP key coding process, the Talkman also supports the new WPA process. Design and ergonomics Fitted with waterproof and collision-resistant housings, the Talkman is suited to all industrial application environments and also has extremely robust headset connections. Using the specially developed carry-belt, the arched housing of the Talkman scan sits comfortably and ensures a high degree of user acceptance. Installation, maintenance and care Ehrhardt + Partner is responsible for the punctual installation and implementation of the hardware and software.
