Re-Export Declaration Introduction Definition Inward Processing process deals with procedure in which goods can be brought into a Customs territory conditionally relieved from payment of import duties and taxes, on the basis that such goods are intended for manufacturing, processing or repair and subsequent exportation. In Malaysia s environment, this covers the regulation for Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LWM) under Section 65 & 65A. 19

9 Introduction Module Overview The Inward Processing module enables traders to file electronic Import declarations for the goods that are imported for Manufacturing/Processing into Malaysia. The finished goods will eventually be re-exported using an electronic Re-Export declaration with the Inward Processing Declaration as reference. Traders can also file declarations to Subcontract their manufacturing work to other manufacturers, either within Malaysia or Overseas. Inward Processing is a subset of the Phase 1 Declaration Processing module. Inward Processing transaction types are added to cater these functionality. Imported goods will be recorded in the LMWs inventory using the Bonded Warehouse module.
