HOW DOES IT WORK? With Precision VRI on a corner system, individual sprinklers on the corner arm uniformly apply any desired application depth to an irrigated area. Each sprinkler is pulsed on and off according to advanced algorithms which optimize application. Application depths can easily be tailored to varying field conditions or set to avoid specific areas such as roads or unproductive zones. CONSTANT FLOW RATE TECHNOLOGY Precision VRI s intelligent programming capability allows any shape and a virtually limitless number of irrigation management zones with individual sprinkler control. As shown in this application simulation, an area can be avoided with minimal loss of irrigation to the productive area. In fields with irregular boundaries, the 9500CC provides far greater application than traditional corner systems. Under Water.35 Target =1.00 Over Water Precision VRI can also extend the irrigated area without the need for additional pump flow by allowing you to maintain a constant pump flow rate as the corner arm extends and retracts (requires Precision VRI on the full length of the pivot). This allows you to expand your irrigated acreage without having to increase your water supply. Corner wheel tracking can be greatly minimized with individual sprinkler control to reduce the depth applied over wheel tracks or other problem areas. As the corner arm extends, the sprinklers on the parent machine are pulsed and the machine ground speed is reduced. When it retracts, the parent machine s sprinklers no longer pulse and the speed is increased to maintain a constant flow rate throughout the rotation. When Precision VRI is installed on a full pivot, full circle rotation times are automatically minimized for the irrigation plan being applied through the control of the pivot s ground speed. Precision VRI can be controlled through the FieldNET remote management interface for easy creation or editing of irrigation plans when needed.
