2 Introduction Who What All Apollo system Subscribers in the US that subscribe to Automated Refunds and Exchanges (ARNE) Read Pricing Modifiers used to issue the original Electronic Ticket from a stored ATFQ When September 12, 2007 at approximately 8:00 PM Mountain Time (MT) or 0300 UTC/GMT Why Impacted Platforms ARNE users will have the option to no longer re-enter pricing modifiers used to issue the original Electronic Ticket as part of the RNEX exchange entry when they are already stored in an existing PNR ATFQ This enhancement is applicable to all Terminal Emulation platforms including Focalpoint and Galileo Desktop ARNE Enhancement Advisory September 12, 2007 Page 2

4 Enhancement Background The process of ARNE Exchanges currently requires users to manually append pricing modifiers to the RNEX exchange entry to process the transaction. Example of an ARNE RNEX exchange pricing request where the pricing modifiers have been appended manually: >RNEX /PE0/S3-HOCKEY*112Q Enhancement Description With this enhancement ARNE Exchanges will offer users the option to no longer append pricing modifiers to the RNEX exchange pricing request entry when the intention is to apply pricing modifiers already stored in the PNR ATFQ that were used to issue the original Electronic Ticket. Referencing Pricing Modifiers from a PNR ATFQ for an ARNE Exchange The ARNE RNEX exchange pricing request entry has been enhanced to include a new entry (indicator) to reference and read pricing modifiers from a selected PNR ATFQ that has been used to store the fare of the original Electronic Ticket issued The new entry (indicator) is n: where n is the number of the ATFQ which will be referenced (read). Example: >RNEX2: In this example, the ARNE Exchange pricing request is selecting to read the pricing modifiers used to price the original Electronic Ticket number which have been stored in PNR ATFQ number 2. 5 Pricing Modifiers that will be read from the ATFQ: Name select (N) Segment select (S) Passenger Type Code (PTC) (*) Penalty (PEnn) Private Fares information (Account Code and Redistribution PCC) Ticketing Identification Code, TIC (--) No minimum/maximum stay (MM) No minimum stay (NM) No maximum stay (NX) No restrictions (NR) Advance Purchase (AP ) :P :N X SO Break point (OB, NB, MB) GTE Note: The following pricing modifiers that will NOT be read from the ATFQ are: Fare Identification Code (FIC) (@) Free Ticket (GF) Override an ATFQ Pricing Modifier The pricing modifiers read from the selected ATFQ are applied to the new Electronic Ticket unless overriding modifiers are appended to the ARNE RNEX Exchange pricing request entry. The name select (N), segment select (S), and PTC ( * ) pricing modifiers are currently the only allowable modifiers that can be input in the ARNE RNEX Exchange pricing request entry to override what is in the selected ATFQ. If the Passenger Type Code (PTC) that is stored in the selected ATFQ applies to the entire ATFQ, the applicable PTC code does not need to be included as part of the RNEX entry. If the Passenger Type Code (PTC) that is stored in the selected ATFQ is passenger specific, the RNEX entry must contain the name select and PTC modifiers. The ARNE Exchange format to select pricing modifiers from a PNR ATFQ (>RNEXn: ) will apply the pricing modifiers read from the selected ATFQ to the new Electronic Ticket. 6 Example: PNR ATFQ 1 with Pricing Modifiers: ATFQ-OK/$BN1-1/S1-*K29/PE00/TAK29/CUA FQ-USD /USD 56.09US/USD 10.30XT/USD DEC YUA ARNE Exchange Pricing Request with Selected ATFQ and Pricing Override: >RNEX1: /S2 For the ARNE entry above, the segment data from ATFQ 1 will be overridden by the segment data in the ARNE entry. ARNE will process the exchange as if the entry had been: >RNEX1: /S2-*K29/PE00/N1-1/TAK29/CUA Implications to Other Products This enhancement is applicable only to ARNE subscribers in the US on Focalpoint and Galileo Desktop Terminal Emulation platforms.
