4 Norway Pelagic overview World leader in production and sales of pelagic fish (herring and mackerel) for human consumption A strategic initiative to consolidate pelagic industry, through stabilising and developing production and markets 10 production plants along the norwegian coast, accounting for 35 % of total landings (2008) Main exposure to Russian, East European and Japanese markets Listed at OSE since june 2008
5 Q2 Highlights Focus in Q2 have been to realise stocks from Q1, as very limited raw material is available Very successful capelin season, with good demand sitation and especially high margins on capelin roe activity Margins on herring still increasing Fryseriet deal finalised, will become part of NPEL from September. High activity expected, starting in September, record high remaining quotas

9 Revenue and margins Increase in net revenue compared to Q108 for all species Herring margins increase (1,63) on shortage in main markets Mackerel margins (2,10) slightly lower Margins on other products increased (2,87) due to good prices on female capelin og capelin roe

26 Outlook Strong demand and comsumption in Russia and Eastern Europe will be the main drivers for sales of both herring and mackerel in the top season. Underlying comsumption is strong, but financial stability and access of capital will have great importance for ability to put great volumes into the markets. Herring is still traditional food and is regarded as some of the cheapest proteins available. Transition to more herring fillets continues. Japan will have a key role in the success of this year s mackerel sales
