The project file should include the following in the proper sequence given below: 1) Cover Page- which should have ACCOUNTANCY PROJECT as File Heading, CBSE logo and The Bhartiyam International School logo. 2) Student INFORMATION Page should include the following: a) Name of the student b) School name c) Class and section d) CBSE roll no. e) Teachers Name 3) Acknowledgement 4) Certificate 5) Index should include S.No, Topic, Page no., Teachers Signature and remarks. 6) Theory should include the following: a) Meaning, advantages and objective of project work. b) Accounting principles c) Rules of debit and credit 7) Comprehensive project should include: a) Comprehensive project heading, name of the problem and period under review. b) Practical Problem c) Solution should include the following: Journal, ledger, trial balance, adjustment entries if any, trading, profit and loss A/c and balance sheet, Ratios with graphs if any, observation and conclusion. B. 4 A dry cleaner A grocery shop A stationery shop A shoe shop 2) After selection visit a shop in the locality. 3) Prepare various types of accounts. 4) Write journal entries 5) Prepare ledger 6) Prepare Trial balance. 7) Prepare Trading and Profit and Loss Account and Balance Sheet. This may state with Expenses, incomes and profit (loss), assets and liabilities are to be depicted using pie chart / bar diagram. 2. ASSIGNMENTS I. Kajal, Neerav and Alisha are partners in a firm sharing profits in the ratio of 3:2:1. They decided to admit Rajan, their landlord as a partner in the firm. Rajan brought sufficient amount of capital and his share of goodwill premium. The accountant of the firm passed the entry of rent paid for the building to Rajan in Profit and Loss Appropriation Account. Is he correct in doing so? Give reason in support of your answer. II. III. IV. Vinod and Ashish were partners in a firm sharing profits in 3:2 ratio. From 1 st March, 2014 they decided to change their profit sharing ratio to 3:1. For this purpose the goodwill of the firm was valued at Rs. 1,20,000. Pass necessary journal entry for the treatment of goodwill. Mukesh and Ramesh are partners sharing profits and losses in the ratio of 2:1 respectively. They admit Rupesh as partner with ¼ th share in profits with guarantee that his share of profit shall be at least Rs.55,000. The net profit of the firm for the year ending 31 st March, 2015 was Rs.1,60,000. Prepare Profit and loss appropriation Account. On Sahil and Charu entered into partnership for sharing profits in the ratio of 4:3. They admitted Tanu as a new partner on for 1/5 th share which she acquired equally from Sahil and Charu. Sahil, Charu and Tanu earned profit s at the higher rate than the normal rate of return for the year Therefore they decided to expand business. To meet the requirements of additional capital, they admitted Puneet as a new partner on for 1/6 th share in profits which were acquired from Sahil and Charu in 7:3 ratios. Calculate (a) New profit sharing ratio of Sahil, Charu and Tanu for the year (b) New profit sharing ratio of Sahil, Charu,Tanu and Puneet on Puneet s admission. V. M and N were partners in a firm sharing profits in 3:2 ratios. P was admitted as a new partner for 1/4th share in the profits on 1 st April The Balance Sheet of the firm on 31 st March 2015 was as follows:

Necessary cash was to be brought in or paid off to them as the case may be. Prepare Revaluation account, Partner s Capital Account and the Balance Sheet of M, N and P.

PART A: Choose any one topic from the part A. a. Principles of Management The students are required to visit any one of the following: 1. A departmental store. 2. An Industrial unit. 3. A fast food outlet. 4. Any other organization approved by the teacher. The students are required to observe the application of the general Principles of management advocated by Henry Fayol. OR The students may enquire into the application of scientific management techniques by F.W. Taylor in the unit visited. b. Elements of Business Environment The students can select any one element of the following: 1. Changes witnessed over the last few years on mode of packaging and its economic impact. 2. The reasons behind changes. 3. Changing role of the women in the past 25 years relating to joint families, nuclear families, women as a bread earner of the family, changes in the requirement trend of mixers, washing machines, micro wave and standard of living. 4. The changes in the pattern of import and export of different Products. 5. The trend in the changing interest rates and their effect on savings.
7 6. A study on child labour laws, its implementation and consequences 7. The state of anti plastic campaign, the law, its effects and implementation. 8. The laws of mining /setting up of industries, rules and regulations, licences required for running that business. 9. Social factors affecting acceptance and rejection of an identified product. At this stage the students will realize the importance of the concept of marketing mix and the necessary decision regarding the four P s of marketing. Product Place Price Promotion On the basis of the work done by the students the project report should include the following: 1. Type of product /service identified and the (consumer/industries) process involve there in. 2. Brand name and the product. 3. Range of the product. 4. Identification mark or logo. 5. Tagline. 6. Labeling and packaging. 7. Price of the product and basis of price fixation. 8. Selected channels of distribution and reasons thereof. 9. Decisions related to transportation and warehousing. State reasons. 10. Promotional techniques used and starting reasons for deciding the particular technique. 11. Grading and standardization. Presentation and Submission of Project Report At the end of the stipulated term, each student will prepare and submit his/her project report. Following essentials are required to be fulfilled for its preparation and submission.
10 1. The total length of the project will be of 25 to 30 pages. 2. The project should be handwritten. 3. The project should be presented in a neat folder. 4. ASSIGNMENT a) Loreal Co. offers a wide range of cosmetic products and keep introducing new varieties of Cosmetic range.
