6 TENNANT BRAND ARCHITECTURE COMPANY BRAND Tennant Company The Tennant Company brand is the genetic code from whence comes all the brands and products. The logo consists of the Tennant name inside an oval and is used to represent the company as a whole. There are several business units encompassed under the Tennant Company brand, including Orbio, Coatings, Aftermarket and Parts & Service. PRIMARY BRAND Tennant The Tennant product brand delivers innovative technology and performance, proven reliability, superior service, and exceptional results for cleaning professionals. The product logo consists of the Tennant oval inside a square. SECONDARY BRANDS Nobles The Nobles brand represents our rugged, no-nonsense cleaning equipment. Nobles from Tennant is the smart choice for the machines you need to get the job done right. Alfa Alfa from Tennant is recognized as the Brazilian market leader in the cleaning industry for its low-cost commercial cleaning equipment and strong distribution channels. Orbio Technologies Established in 2009 to execute on Tennant Company s vision of becoming a global leader in cleaning, Orbio Technologies Group is dedicated to developing and marketing environmentally friendly technologies.

7 INGREDIENT BRANDS ec-h20 Technology ec-h2o technology electrically converts water into an innovative cleaning solution that cleans effectively, saves money, improves safety, and reduces environmental impact compared to daily cleaning floor chemicals and methods. Since then, advances in nanobubble technology lead to ec-h2o NanoClean, the next generation of Tennant s innovative cleaning technologies. FaST Foam-activated Scrubbing Technology FaST-equipped machines automatically mix chemical and water, then inject air to create an effective, fail-safe foam solution. Foam scrubbing uses less water than conventional scrubbing systems, so floors dry faster and are safer to walk on sooner. NanoClean ReadySpace Rapid-drying Carpet Cleaning technology Tennant s ReadySpace Rapid-drying Carpet Cleaning Technology provides fresh, clean carpets in minutes to reduce room and carpet area closure times Extended Scrubbing (ES) technology Scrubber-dryers equipped with the Extended Scrubbing (ES) system recycle cleaning solutions, resulting in extended scrubbing uptime and improved productivity. IRIS Intelligent Remote Information System Available on select machines, the IRIS Technology collects and transmits machine usage activity using machine-to-machine cellular technology. This valuable machine data is critical to making well-informed service decisions.

12 ACCOUNTS PAYABLE REQUIREMENTS Here are some requirements that will assist us with processing your invoice in a timely manner. UPON APPROVAL FROM YOUR PROJECT MANAGER, INVOICES SHOULD BE SENT DIRECTLY TO ACCOUNTS PAYABLE VIA: Accounts.Payable@Tennantco.com Fax: Mail: Tennant Company PO Box 1452 Minneapolis, MN Invoices must reference the Purchase Order number if a Purchase Order was issued to the vendor. If a Purchase Order was not issued to the vendor, the invoice should reference a Tennant contact name. However, the invoice should be sent directly to Accounts Payable. 13 DOWNLOADING ASSETS VIA DIGITOOLS Our online DigiTools asset library holds approved images and logos you may need when designing projects. For each project, be sure to download new machine images/logos to ensure you have the most up to date versions. ACCOUNT SETUP You will be provided with a username and password for our DigiTools image library. Go to and enter your username and password. The first time you log in, you should be prompted to change your password. If at any time you forget your password, click the Forgot Your Password link to get a new temporary password. BROWSING IMAGES Once logged in, click the Image Library link on the menu to the left. On the next screen, you will see the image library categories available, including approved logos and equipment images. You can either browse these categories, or use the search bar on the left.

14 DOWNLOADING IMAGES There are a couple ways to download images. You can download one at a time by clicking the Download High-Res link underneath the image. Or, if you would like to download multiple images at the same time, you can add them to your basket. To add multiple images to your basket, check the box in the upper right of each image preview and click Add Checked Files To Basket on the upper right of the page. For print materials, you will want to download the High- Res versions, as these are all color corrected and contain clipping paths. The jpeg versions are only acceptable for use in s or web applications. To view your basket, click the Show Basket button on the top menu bar. Once in your basket, you can choose to download a zipped file of all the images, or even them to yourself or another person. 15 FILE COLLECTION PROCESS As part of the Central Marketing Communications file management and retention process, below is the process flow for collecting creative art files from creative agency partners upon completion. 1. Please provide project art files no later than 1 week after project is launched. 2. If changes were made to the artwork during the printer process, request final files from print vendor. 3. Provide final art files (via downloadable link/zipped/cd) to barb.commers@tennantco.com CREATIVE PRINT FILES ( creative, Web Pages, Brochures, Postcards, P&C sheets, Sell sheets, Flyers etc.) Final print art files should include the following folders: Document Fonts Links Instructions Design File PDF of final creative PHOTO SHOOT FILES Final photography files should include the following assets: Contact sheet showing all images Low resolution images as jpegs, jpg, gif, & png formats High resolution PSD, AI, & TIFF format List of featured models/talent names VIDEO SHOOT FILES (Includes animation videos) Final video files should include the following: High resolution files of all stock images used in the video (if applicable) Video File in swf, avi, mpg, mov, mp3, and wmv formats Final video storyboard document List of featured models/talent names POWERPOINT FILES Final PowerPoint files should include the following assets: Original high resolution stock images saved separately Original graphs and charts saved separately PowerPoint document Exported PDF of final PowerPoint WEB DESIGN FILES (Includes s, landing pages & web banners) Final web files should include the following: Native file (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) Composite image (jpg, png, etc.) Any assets (images, links, fonts, etc.) as separate individual files Please contact Tennant Marketing for color correction standards for photo shoot files.

16 TENNANT LOGOS Tennant consists of the company brand and a number of product brands. The company, as well as each of the brands, have their own logo. Tennant also has logos for technology innovations. This section will cover how to use each of these logos correctly, when used alone and together. 17 TENNANT COMPANY OVAL LOGO Correct Usage The oval Tennant Company logo should be used for representing the company as a whole, in corporate communications, or with one of the product brands. If any Tennant equipment is shown, please use the Tennant Product square logo. PANTONE 313 C CMYK: 100, 0, 8, 13 RGB: 0, 154, MINIMUM HEIGHT The Tennant Company oval logo is not required to be on Nobles or Alfa advertising. However, it should be featured on the bottom of Orbio advertising as a product endorser if possible, but can be at a smaller size. Your project manager should specify when to include the Tennant company logo on any pieces. BLACK CMYK: 0, 0, 0, 100 RGB: 0, 0, 0 Colors The Tennant Company logo should only appear in the three colors specified, Pantone 313 C, Black and White. Preferred background colors for the Tennant white logo should be within the approved color palette (see color palette section). USE ANY COLORS FROM TENNANT PALETTE FOR BACKGROUND WHITE CMYK: 0, 0, 0, 0 RGB: 255, 255, 255 CLEAR ZONE Minimum Size A minimum size of 0.3 in height has been established, as shown in the measurements. Smaller versions should never be used, as they are too difficult to read. Clear Zone A clear zone must surround the logo to ensure visibility and impact. The size of the clear zone is determined by the height of the letters, as shown. No graphic elements of any kind should invade the clear zone. Incorrect Usage Please use the approved logo files available online. No alterations of any kind should be made to the logo. Although not an exhaustive list, see these examples for common incorrect uses of the logo. Placement The preferred placement of the Tennant Company oval logo is on the top right, taking into account the minimum required clear zone from the edge. However, if the layout does not allow, the top left is acceptable. 18 TENNANT PRIMARY PRODUCT SQUARE LOGO Correct Usage The square Tennant product logo should be used in any pieces where Tennant equipment is featured. If a piece features other brands of equipment as well, such as Nobles or Orbio, the logos should be of equal visual size. Your project manager should specify which logos to use; please contact them with any questions. PANTONE 313 C CMYK: 100, 0, 8, 13 RGB: 0, 154, 199 TOP LEFT PLACEMENT TOP RIGHT PLACEMENT ADDED BLEED Colors The Tennant product logo should only appear in Pantone 313 C for the square with White for the Tennant oval. The square and logo should never appear in any other colors. WHITE CMYK: 0, 0, 0, 0 RGB: 255, 255, 255 FOLD FINAL TRIM SIZE Minimum Size A minimum size of 0.9 in height has been established, as shown in the measurements. Smaller versions should never be used, as they are too difficult to read. When used with another product logo, it should be of similar size and visual presence. 0.9 MINIMUM HEIGHT Clear Zone There is no clear zone for the Tennant Product logo, however, no graphic elements should ever overlap or invade the square box. This logo can bleed off the edge of a piece, but make sure to add the appropriate amount of bleed to the logo so the entire square it showing. No part of the square should be cut off. Incorrect Usage Please use the approved logo files available online. No alterations of any kind should be made to the logo. Although not an exhaustive list, see these examples for common incorrect uses of the logo. Placement The preferred placement of the Tennant product logo is on the top right and may bleed off the page (with appropriate bleed added). However, if the layout does not allow, the top left is acceptable. For example, when creating ads that fall on a left hand page, the logo should be placed on the top left to avoid being in the fold (see example). 19 NOBLES LOGOS Correct Usage The Nobles logos consist of the logotype, N icon and a tagline that identifies Tennant as the parent company. Horizontal and vertical stacked versions have been developed for layout flexibility. The logotype can be used without the N icon if space is a concern, however, the N icon should not be used without the logotype or tagline. The size and layout relationship between the logotype and icon should not be altered. When used in conjunction with the Tennant square logo, please use the stacked version, as it is more equal in proportion to the square. Colors The Nobles logo should only appear in the full color, Black or White versions. The logo should never appear in any other colors. Preferred background colors for the white logo are any in the approved Nobles color palette (see colors section). Minimum Size A minimum size of 1.5 wide for the Nobles type has been established, as shown in the measurements. Smaller versions should never be used, as they are too difficult to read. Clear Zone A clear zone must surround the logo to ensure visibility and impact. The size of the clear zone is determined by the height of the letters, as shown. No graphic elements of any kind should invade the clear zone. The logo can be placed over the approved brushed metal or rotomold texture, but should not be placed on top of any other images. 1.5 MINIMUM WIDTH 1.5 MINIMUM WIDTH CLEAR ZONE Placement The preferred placement of the Nobles logo is on the top left or right, taking into account the minimum required clear zone from the edge. When used in conjunction with the Tennant square logo, it can be placed next to or underneath it at a similar visual size. FULL COLOR VERSION Incorrect Usage Please use the approved logo files available online. No alterations of any kind should be made to the logo. Although not an exhaustive list, see these examples for common incorrect uses of the logo. 20 ORBIO LOGOS Correct Usage Orbio Technologies was created by Tennant to develop innovative products based on Electrically Activated Water technology. The logo should be used in anything featuring Orbio products or technologies. It is also visually tied to the ec-h2o logo, an Orbio technology. The tagline identifies it as part of the Tennant Company family and should not be removed. When possible, the Tennant oval logo should accompany the Orbio logo on the piece. Preferred background colors for the white logo are any in the Orbio color palette (see colors section). Minimum Size A preferred minimum size of 1.5 wide has been established. However, if needed due to ad size, the logo can be used at a minimum size of 1 wide. Smaller versions should never be used, as they are too difficult to read. WHITE CMYK: 0, 0, 0, 0 RGB: 255, 255, 255 USE ANY COLORS FROM ORBIO PALETTE FOR BACKGROUND CLEAR ZONE Clear Zone A clear zone must surround the logo to ensure visibility and impact. 21 ALFA LOGO Correct Usage The Alfa logo is for use in any materials that feature Alfa equipment, mainly for use in Brazil. Colors The Alfa logo should only appear in the full color, black or white versions as shown. PANTONE 342 C CMYK: 100, 0, 70, 50 RGB: 0, 111, 81 PANTONE 143 C CMYK: 0, 28, 100, 0 RGB: 252, 176, MINIMUM WIDTH Minimum Size A minimum size of 0.75 in width has been established, as shown in the measurements. Smaller versions should never be used, as they are difficult to read. BLACK CMYK: 0, 0, 0, 100 RGB: 0, 0, 0 Clear Zone A clear zone must surround the logo to ensure visibility and impact. The size of the clear zone is determined by the height of the letters, as shown. No graphic elements of any kind should invade the clear zone. Some technologies are only available on certain machines, so your project manager will advise you when to use these logos. Colors The colors shown below are the only variations that should be used. The FaST and ReadySpace logos only have black and white versions. For ec-h2o and Iris logos, full color versions are preferred. Minimum Size See below for minimum sizes for each logo. When needed in a smaller format, use the version without the tagline. Note that the ec-h2o logo needs a instead of an if used without the tagline. Clear Zone A clear zone must surround the logo to ensure visibility and impact. The size of the clear zone is determined by the height of the letters, as shown. No graphic elements of any kind should invade the clear zone. Placement Normally, these are secondary logos used to identify the technologies associated with the machines in the piece. They should never be larger than any Tennant brand logo, or placed above the Tennant brand logo in the layout. Incorrect Usage Please use the approved logo files available online. No alterations outside the specifications below should be made to the logos. If used with other brands, it can be placed at the bottom. Tennant Primary Logo This logo is used on pieces that feature Tennant Equipment. Preferred placement is on the top right, and bleed off the edge if possible. Make sure to place on the opposite side of the fold if piece is feature in a booklet. 41 GRAPHIC ELEMENTS ALFA Alfa Curve The Alfa curve emphasizes the logo and helps set it apart in the layout. It can be applied as a single-stroke curve, left-header white space, or right-footer white space. The single curve should be 5pt line thickness and proportioned appropriately, for large-format or smaller applications. The curve s height (x), should roughly equal 1/4 its width. For the headers, always maintain a quiet zone around the perimeter of the logo as shown. This zone is equal to the cap height of the letters l-f in the logotype for the top or bottom margins, and the full vertical height of the entire logo for the left or right margin. Linear Abstractions These intersecting curves can be used as a background element to add emphasis and energy to the layout. The stroke weight should not exceed 1pt, and the opacity should equal 35% white, or a 65% screen of the background color. Color Blocks Rectangular blocks can be used to organize content, and can contain product images, linear abstractions or headline text. Make sure to only use the approved Alfa colors and maintain an appropriate amount of contrast with it s content. Color blocks should always overlap or touch each other with no gaps or margins. 43 PREMIUM ITEMS It is important to keep in mind the logo size and color when creating premium items to ensure maximum visibility Shirts When using any Tennant logo on shirts, be sure the logo color chosen provides enough contrast from the shirt color. The maximum size for the oval company logo is 2.5" wide. The maximum size for the product square logo is 1.25" wide. These sizes should be consistent among all shirt sizes. Other Premium Items Again, make sure there is enough contrast between the pen/mug color and the chosen logo color.
