2 T E S T R E C O R D N O 1 NON COMBUSTIBILITY TEST-ASTM E The tests were conducted in accordance with the test method outlined in ASTM E Standard Test Method for Behavior of Materials in a Vertical Tube Furnace at 75 o C. PRODUCT COVERED The sample identifications are given in Table 1. Table 1 - Sample Identification Sample ID Tests were conducted in accordance with the requirements of test methods outlined in the report. UL LLC did not witness the production of the test samples nor were we provided with information relative to the formulation or identification of component materials used in the manufacture of the test sample. TEST SPECIMEN CONDITIONING Prior to testing, the specimens were pre-dried for 24h at 6ºC and then conditioned at an ambient temperature of 23±3ºC and relative humidity of 5±5% until equilibrium (constant weight) was achieved.
3 RESULTS The results are summarized in the following table. Based on the results obtained, the sample material met the requirements of the standard. Sample Description Test # Test Result Pre Weight ( g ) Post Weight ( g ) Weight Loss ( % ) Stabilized Max. Interior CRITERIA Max. Surface Rise Interior Rise Surface Smoke Flash Ignition STONE 1 Pass No No No No STONE 2 Pass No No No No STONE 3 Pass No No No No STONE 4 Pass No No No No Sample material is considered as having passed the test if at least 3 of the 4 specimens tested meet the individual test specimen criteria detailed in 1.2 or 1. 3 of ASTM E The three test specimens do not need to meet the same individual test specimen criteria. 1.2 If the weight loss of the test specimen is 5 % or less, the material passes the test when the criteria in and in are met: The recorded temperatures of the surface and interior thermocouples do not at any time during the test rise more than 3 C (54 F) above the stabilized furnace temperature measured at T2 prior to the test There is no flaming from the test specimen after the first 3 s. 1.3 If the weight loss of the specimen exceeds 5 %, the material passes the test when the criteria in and in are met: The recorded temperature of the surface and interior thermocouples do not, at any time during the test, rise above the stabilized furnace temperature measured at T2 prior to the test No flaming from the test specimen is observed at any time during the test. This standard is used to measure and describe the response of materials, products or assemblies to heat and flame under controlled conditions, but does not by itself incorporate all factors required for fire- hazard or fire-risk assessment of the materials, products, or assemblies under actual fire conditions.
