2 Introduction FORECREU HOLLOWTECH Round bars with one or several holes, straight or twisted, of highspeed steel, special steel, stainless steel and titanium alloys. Outside diameter: from 2 to 65 mm Inside diameter: from 1/20 to 1/2 of outside diameter. Wide variety of geometries and hole positions. Forécreu also maintains close relations with other leading participants in their respective fields (Aubert & Duval for stainless steels and special alloys, Timet for titanium alloys). High pressure and hydraulics Our hollow bars are used as very thick wall tubes capable of taking up extreme pressure and envir onmental conditions (pr obes for tube hydroforming, HP hydraulics, transport of corrosive liquids, probes or bodies for fluid passage, optical fibers or cabling, injection parts, etc.). Many applications are found, for instance in aeronautics, automotive, chemical, nuclear, chemistr y or agrofood industries. Mechanical engineering : Our hollow bars can be used as components to replace drilled or bored parts in particular for long pieces. There are many potential applications: cannulated screws and parts, pump housings, machine tool components, wire guides, pins, mandrels. Its composition enables it to better resist heat generated by cutting. Therefore, maintains hardness longer up to 66 HRc. Excellent generalpurpose grade.. GV3 65 to 66 HRc Erasteel New grade (3% vanadium) for taps. Significantly reduces the grinding costs and increase the tool life. PM30 65 to 68 HRc Erasteel «Powder» grade with extraordinary consistent and highly pure structure ASP 2030 This grade combines great hardness with excellent toughness. Tool life is increased and reliability improved. Contains 8.5% cobalt. Ideal choice for the production of high performance cutting tools : drills, taps, end mills. PM52 65 to 68 HRc Erasteel «Powder» grade with high tungsten content (10.5%) and high cobalt content (8%) offering wear resistance ASP 2052 Particularly suitable for manufacturing end mills and taps. PM15 65 to 68 HRc Erasteel Powder grade with high tungsten content (12%) for production high performance cutting tools. Particularly ASP 2015 suitable for manufacturing drills and taps.. Delivery conditions: Unless mentioned specifically, all our bars are supplied in annealed condition. Caution: the sizes given in this catalogue correspond in each case to sizes delivered for the main grade of a given range. Slight variations in size between different grades may occur within the same range. However, in general, these variations are less than 1/10th of a millimeter. 7 Hollow bars with one or several holes for industrial applications The Forécreu process is capable of producing a wide range of hollow bars to different geometries.
