3 About Us Incepted in the year 2001, Swajit Abrasives Private Limited, an ISO 9001:2008 certified company is engaged in manufacturing and exporting a wide range of 'ABRACUT and TIGER' brand coated abrasive products that includes Belts, Rolls, Flap Wheels, Spindle Mops, Plain Abrasive Cloth Discs & Fibre Backed Sander Discs. All these products are catered in all the standard sizes as well as in the sizes as per customer s requirements and are made available in all the major grits ranges from fine to coarse. At SWAJIT all the products are manufactured with advanced Electro-Coating Technique and are made with specially treated Aluminum Oxide, Silicon Carbide & Zirconium Grains on precisely processed Heavy Weight Poly-Cot, Heavy Weight Cotton, Light Weight Cotton Cloths & perfectly bonded in Resin- Glue-Resin and Resin-Over-Resin Bonds. All the products manufactured at SWAJIT are manufactured by using superior quality & virgin raw materials which are taken up for processing only after thorough & vigorous testing in our in-house testing laboratory. 6 Manufacturing Process At SWAJIT, we manufacture cloth & vulcanized fiber backed coated abrasive products. The basic principle of manufacturing these products is Electro Coating. The base cloth is first processed with adhesives for getting required parameters. Then it is coloured on backside for product identification. Followed to coloring, printing of details like logo, grit size, batch code, grain direction etc is carried on. The base is then applied with adhesive and then it is passed through electrostat chamber where grains are coated electrostatically so that the sharp edge of the grain is directed towards the top i.e. grinding side & its bottom is fixed on to the base. To strengthen the grain coating on the base one more adhesive coat is applied & then baking & curing is done to the entire roll.
