2 LÜRAFLEX The company Lüraflex GmbH Gerhard Lückenotto has grown over the last 60 years as a manufacturer of technical rollers throughout Europe and beyond. Our customers include leading machine manufacturers and companies from diverse industries all over the world. 3 ROLLERS We cover rollers with a variety of elastomers (NR, NBR, SBR, CR, CSM, FPM, Silicon, EPDM, PU etc). We re-furbish rollers up to 1,600 mm Ø, nearly 10,000 mm in total length and up to a total single weight of approx 14 tonnes. For rollers that exceed these dimensions we work together with our long-term approved partners. We also finish the roller surfaces with different processes, eg. chroming (one coat, two coats, coat combinations), hard coating, ceramic and teflon coating etc Our rollers are running in the following industries: Paper, plastic foil, steel, aluminium, food stuff, and leather industries, and the general machine building industry. 5 SPREADER ROLLERS Lüraflex Spreader Rollers are used for the removal of creases from different material webs. Effective performance is obtained by a special profiled surface. Even nearly tension free material will be smoothed. The wrap angle (10º º) works together with the web tension to provide a side ways spreading action to give the desired result. Our spreader rollers are individually designed to our customers requirements. For optimum results we currently use over 100 different profiling tools for our spreader rollers, enabling us to cope with even the most difficult challenges. Our spreader rollers have mostly a cylindrical form and are absolutely maintenance free in comparison with other products available in the market. Our spreader rollers can be used for almost all material web types and don t require a drive. Because of its cylindrical form there is no need to adjust the bearings. No maintenance is necessary. In 2005 we delivered three Lüraflex Spreader Rollers for the fastest and second largest paper machine in the world, located in China. They produce paper webs over 10m wide and running at a speed of over 2200 m/min. Here we demonstrated a world wide first of this type of spreader roller. 6 ROLLER CORES Our roller cores are made from steel, high quality steel, aluminium, copper alloy, carbon fibre (CFK) or special materials (eg 42CrMo4,100Cr6 etc). On request available with coverings, bearings, pulleys and gear boxes, heated or cooled. The surface finish can be smooth or grooved, cylindrical or cambered, ground or polished. The rollers are dynamically balanced to suit the highest demands and speeds. We use the most modern measuring electronic equipment, for instance B10-vis with run-out-laser (balancing in three stages). We balance to DIN ISO 1940 (VDI 2060). Repairs to the roller journal can be carried out by means of building up welding or spraying of bronze i.e. CrMi. 7 LÜRA-CORE The newest product in our roller core range is the Lüra-Core System. These precision aluminium tubes guarantee an outstanding roundness (deviation of only a few hundredths millimeter). Through fine balancing precise concentricity can be guaranteed. The Lüra-Core can be supplied with any elastomer and other coverings, e.g. Lüraflex spreader rollers. Advantages of the roller core system are: short delivery times, low deflection, competitive prices and light weight. Lüra-Core roller cores are available with internal bearings or fixed journals. 8 HEATING & COOLING CYLINDERS For our Heating and Cooling rollers (double-walled typed) we use sealing heads from the manufacturers Maier, Deublin and Johnson. Our rollers are checked by TÜV Rheinland according to the pressure equipment guide lines and certified to AD In general the Heating and Cooling rollers are subjected to an additional pressure of 0.5 bar as per the AD 2000 regulations.
