3 110MW Keechi Wind Project Microsoft 20-year PPA Delivering Green Energy Solutions WIND SOLAR TRANSMISSION STORAGE Since 2003, (RES Canada) and our American affiliate RES Americas have delivered wind, solar, transmission, and energy storage projects across North America. We understand that clients want clean, green, reliable power at a competitive price, as well as flexibility in deal structure. We offer fully developed projects for clients interested in buying green power or storage services. RES Canada also offers construction and development services. To meet client needs, RES executes projects using traditional power purchase agreements (PPAs), contract for difference (CFD) financial settlement agreements, build-own-transfer structures, and joint venture partnerships. We work with a number of Crown corporation power utilities and independent power producers, and are able to secure investment for long-term ownership of projects with PPAs and CFDs. Working with Commercial, Industrial, and Utility Clients RES has traditionally worked with many investor or Crown-owned utilities. In today s evolving energy landscape, RES now also works with commercial and industrial clients directly to deliver their green energy needs. RES helps them reduce their carbon footprint in their operations while hedging against increases in fuel prices. Some of our clients include: Austin Energy Enbridge Inc. Hydro-Québec Distribution Microsoft Corporation Oklahoma Gas & Electric Ontario Power Authority PacifiCorp Pattern Energy Portland General Electric Puget Sound Energy Westar Energy The Keechi Wind Project, developed and constructed by RES Americas and owned by Enbridge, will sell 110MW to Microsoft.
4 Experience in Green Energy Development and Construction RES has constructed more than 7,000 megawatts (MW) of green energy and energy storage projects in North America. This includes more than 3,300MW of RES-developed wind energy projects that are currently operational, as well as several wind and solar third-party construction projects. RES solar construction portfolio includes eight 10MW solar projects in Ontario, Canada; 71MW of solar in Texas; and a 200MW solar PV project in Nevada expected to start construction in 2015, pending approval. Transmission and energy storage both allow for increased penetration of green energy, and RES is active in both areas. RES completed construction of the 214-mile Montana-Alberta Tie Line and currently operates two battery storage projects: one 4MW / 2.6MWh battery project in Ohio and one 4MW / 2.6MWh battery project in Ontario, Canada. Here are some of our recently developed projects: Project Name, Location Size (MW) Keechi Wind Project, Texas Origin Wind Project, Oklahoma Halkirk, Alberta South Kent Wind Facility, Ontario Ohio Energy Storage Project, Ohio Amphora Storage Project, Ontario 110MW 150MW 150MW 270MW 4MW (8MW range) 4MW (8MW range) Financial Stability and Geographic Reach RES has developed more than 28 wind projects (3,300MW) in North America, which have successfully obtained financing and been constructed.
