1 1 Create a Persona - Story SAP PM Fiori App (by Robert Arendt) The requirement for this App is as follows: This new and innovative SAP PM Fiori App is focused on the PM (Plant Maintenance) module and is targeting the maintenance technicians. Frank is a 38 year old maintenance technician and works as a team member and associate group leader in a global machinery manufacturing company. His daily work is based on a high number of complex maintenance orders which have to be processed/solved as soon as possible to eliminate the malfunction and get the machine up and running (corrective maintenance) or to support the process of preventive maintenance. A personal object worklist supports Frank as the responsible maintenance technician with his daily work. In SAP Standard Tools the process of creating and printing a personal worklist for Frank to display and process the maintenance orders (e.g. transaction IW37N), find the right materials and move them from warehouses to the equipments (material movement) to fix them and enter the required maintenance time (time confirmation, e.g. transaction IW41) is very complex, inefficient and suspectible to errors. Frank does not have any mobile application yet so he has to remember all the necessary steps and used material to complete and finish the maintenance order by enter the relevant data into the System (maintenance order) in his office (desktop client) at the end of the day. This innovative SAP PM Fiori App enables Frank to process the maintenance tasks immediately (in real-time right next to the relevant equipment to fix/check) and more delightful in his role as a maintenance technician by using a mobile device (e.g. tablet/ipad). That saves time, reduces costs, gains productivity and decrease user errors especially in the material movement which is very important for the inventory process of the manufacturing company. This app is optimized to reduce the complexity of the maintenance process by reducing the # (number) of different SAP standard transactions and decreases time of processing the maintenance orders. That reduces the downtime of the machinery and by the way reduces failure by selecting always the correct material with a barcode-scanner (camera of the mobile device) that saves money to the company by enabling mobile business scenarios and new business-cases. This app is designed for all companies that are dealing with plant maintenance for example utilities, manufacturing etc.
