For over forty years, Kermel fi bre has had tremendous success wherever it has been used. Permanently non-fl ammable, it is currently used in fi re fi ghters garments, fl ight coveralls, special forces' clothing, armoured vehicle crew coveralls, riot police overalls and industrial clothing. At the heart of the fibre fi bre is a polyamide-imide, classifi ed in the meta-aramid family. It does not melt and it is permanently non-fl ammable by nature. 3 KERMEL, PERFORMANCE IN ACTION Protection has a very low thermal conductivity and retains its integrity and dimension when subjected to fl ames. This fi bre property enables effi cient and lightweight fabric solutions. Quality of appearance is solution-dyed during the manufacturing process for improved colourfastness. It also does not pill. Durability / Ease of cleaning shrinks very little in boiling water or in dry air, so garments made from fi bres are perfectly suited for industrial laundry. This means durable, long-lasting garments that are excellent value for money. Comfort Extremely soft and pleasant to the touch, fi bre results in superbly comfortable textile solutions.
