3 Preface This manual is written by Tianyu software electronic pares catalog project team. In each chapter, the function is firstly introduced, and then will be the operation introduction. Electronic Parts Catalogue System involved in the help guide is referred as EPC system. 3
4 Chapter 1 Outline 1.1 System Introduction and Description Electronic Parts Catalog System (EPC) makes the Spare parts data, word, picture and other technical information of each Models into electronic documents with certain format, while increasing browse, query and other functions. With EPC, Dealers can view the detailed technical information and pictures of spare parts associated with the Spare parts number and Models. What s more, it s easy to zoom in and out Spare parts pictures when browsing the spare parts info. We can view the Spare parts info when clicking the spare parts number on the picture, view the information of picture when clicking the spare parts number. It s easy to update the date and picture with EPC. 1.2 Instructions of System Features List Login Step 1:Dealers select a language, such as Chinese (Now it supports six languages, including Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese); Step 2:Dealers enter a user name, password, and then select the server code, click [landing]. Shown as below: 4
5 Remark: Dealers can click the technical support link of login page when any questions met during using the system. Then the system will automatically enter the mailbox edit page. Shown as below: Spare Parts Inquiry Spare parts inquiry page has six query conditions, including categories, platforms, series, model, VIN code and spare parts. Categories: It is divided into passenger models, light trucks and heavy trucks in the EPC according to different products attributes and different business sections. Platform: In the same product line, the product categories which is divided according to the main 5
6 distinguishing features of the body, chassis, or usage. Series: In the same platform, a series of the product sets with different important characteristics which are formed to meet different requirements Models: The models also called super GBOM refers to the smallest unit selection maintenance configuration in BOM system and support matching function based on a features group. VIN: so-called seventeen-bit code because it contains 17 figures. It contains the vehicle manufacturer, age, model, body type and part code, engine code and assembly locations and other information. Spare parts: the basic elements of the car. It can be generally divided into two categories: one is to be used in various vehicles, called general parts; the other is used in a certain type of car, called special spare parts; moreover spare parts combination which consists of spare parts collaborated with each other is called assembly parts. With the authority, dealers can query and browser details of vehicle spare parts with categories, platforms and models, VIN code, spare parts number through Internet after backstage administrator releases vehicles Inquiry spare parts base on vehicle Step 1: After selecting categories, platforms, series and spare parts, dealers click [Query], and right side of the page will display all the pictures of this vehicle spare parts; Step 2: Dealers input vehicle code in the text box of vehicle or select from the drop-down list of models, and then click [Query]. Shown As below: 6
7 Inquiry spare parts according VIN code Step 1: Dealers input VIN code with all the VIN code or behind the eight chassis number in the text box of VIN code. Dealers can see the spare parts info of the VIN code after clicking [Query]; Shown as below: 7
8 Inquiry spare parts based on spare parts number or part description Step 1: Dealers input spare parts number or part description in the text box of spare parts, and then click [Query]. EPC will automatically locate spare parts according to the spare parts number, and displays the spare parts picture information. Shown as below: Remark: EPC will automatically locate spare parts of the vehicle which is selected by dealers before inputting spare parts number. Shown as below: Spare Parts View After inquiry spare parts in EPC system, dealers can see the spare parts detailed 8
9 information through expand the list tree on the left or double-click the right picture, also they can see the lower spare parts by double-click the picture hotspot. As following: Step 1: Dealers inquiry spare parts by vehicle model, VIN code or spare parts number; Step 2: When dealers click vehicle or spare parts, the spare parts details will be displayed on the right side of the page. Step 3: Dealers can view the higher or lower level spare parts info by double-clicking the right picture or spare parts list. Step 4: Dealers can view the spare parts info by clicking [Back] or [Next]. Also, EPC has limit for zooming in and out spare parts picture for 3 times. This function is hidden now and can be used latter. Shown as below: Step 5: The spare parts hotspots will be highlighted after selected by dealers in the page of {spare parts list}. The left side of the tree will expand and locate the spare parts, and spare parts list will be highlighted on the right side after clicking the hotspots of the picture. EPC will automatically shift to the page of spare parts info after double-clicking the hotspots. Shown as below: 9
10 Remark: In the page of spare parts details,the remarks column will displays the attributes of spare parts as well as the vehicle model (multi-language support).those info is separated by a comma.special attention should be paid to important instructions of spare parts switching or abondoning. Shown as below: 10
11 1.2.4 Add to Shopping Cart Spare parts can be added into shopping cart in the page of {Spare parts list} or {Spare parts info}. If the spare parts are not parts, the cart button on the right side will be grayed out. Dealers can inquiry cart by spare parts number, begin date and end date after adding the spare parts into cart. Dealers can bulk delete the spare parts in the cart, or add bulk to the order. At the same time, dealers can edit the cart information of the spare parts Add to cart Step 1: Dealers inquiry the spare parts based on models, VIN code or spare parts number; Step 2: Clicking {Add to cart} on the upper right corner in the page of {Spare parts list} or { Spare parts info}; 11
12 Step 3: Clicking [OK] after filling in the order quantity and notes; Step 4: After successfully added, in the cart page you can find the newly generated cart information, and the cart order status is not added. Shown as below: 12
13 Inquiry cart Step: Dealers click [Query] after inputting spare parts number in the page of {Cart}; Step 2: Dealers click [Query] after inputting start date or end date; 13
14 Edit cart Step 1: Dealers click the edit button on the left of the {Cart} page after select one cart information. Step 2: Clicking [OK] after modifying Order number and notes in the page of {Order information}; 14
15 Bulk delete cart Step 1: Dealers check the cart information in the page of {Cart}. EPC supports full selection and multiple choices; Step 2: The selected cart information will be delete if dealers click the delete button on the top-right corner of the page {Cart} and click [Yes]; 15
16 Add to order Step 1: Dealers click [Add to order] on the top-right corner of the page after selecting the cart information which is needed; Step 2: Dealers click [OK] after inputting notes in the page of {Add to order}; 16
17 Step 3: Dealers can view order information added in order management page after successfully added. 17
18 1.2.5 Order Management Step 1: Dealers can inquiry order infromation based on order number, start date or end date after the cart add to order; Step 2:Dealers select "Yes" from the drop-down list of "Cancel or Not", and then click [Query]. The system will display the canceled order information. Otherwise, choose "No", the system will display normal order information. 18
19 Step 2: Dealers can view the spare parts info of the order by clicking [To view the details]. Step 3: Dealers can export orders information to local disk by clicking [Excel Export] in the page of {Order details} or the {Order details} sign next the order directly. The excel contains spare parts, order quantity, order number, but also the current name and Chinese language name of spare parts. Shown as below: 19
20 1.2.6 Search Vehicle Model Step 1: After Parts Code inputted and click [Query] in the page of Search Vehicle Model, EPC will display all the vehicles which use given spare parts. EPC will automatically locate the vehicle's structure and display detailed graphic information of the spare parts after double clicking one of those records. Shown as below: 20
21 Step 2: Dealers can export the spare parts results of inquiries to lacal disk by clicking [Excel Export] Logout Dealers can exit EPC by clicking [Logout] on the upper-right corner of the homepage Online Help EPC provides the user with detailed online help. Dealers can click [help] on the upper-right corner of the homepage to download EPC help book 21
22 1.2.9 Information Interactive EPC provides online problem message function. One minute after the EPC administrator edits and publishes news in the background, the lower-right corner web page will pop-up message prompts. Dealers can view details by double-clicking on the prompt. Shown as below: 22
