2 Workshop on Greenhouse Gas Inventories in Asia (WGIA) To assist the countries in the Asia region in developing and improving their GHG inventories by creating the opportunities to exchange information and share their experiences Since November 2003, five meetings have been held on an annual basis, through h which h the network of government officials i and researchers in the Asia region has been enhanced WGIA meetings in the past WGIA1 Phuket, Thailand, November 2003 WGIA2 Shanghai, China, 7-8 February 2005 WGIA3 Manila, Philippines, February 2006 WGIA4 Jakarta, Indonesia, February 2007 WGIA5 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 6-8 September 2007
