The revolutionary idea was to give the fibrous casing a lacquer that took on the function of an oxygen and moisture barrier. It s all about the barrier: freshness preservability flavour Even if these days plastic casings also have many of its properties, the lacquered fibrous casing remains an important part of small-trade and industrial sausage production. High-grade scalded and cooked sausage specialities benefit from the fine appearance of the fibrous casing, even in the field of catered products and deli-counter products. Protection for your sausage With the Walsroder F plus, the colour and quality of scalded and cooked sausages are maintained reliably. It is highly impermeable for moisture, oxygen and aroma, as well as being greaseproof. In this way, discolouration of the sausage and loss of weight are avoided. Walsroder F plus can be tied or closed with a clip. A Walsroder F plus sealed with a clip is treated by the German meat regulations as an airtight sealed container. Together with the natural surface, this contributes to the glossy appearance of the sausage. The barrier layer guarantees proper storage of the sausage. The exterior barrier layer ensures that the Walsroder FVP doesn t shrink, in contrast to the Walsroder F plus. If the sausage is cut open at a later stage, a clean, attractive cut surface appears, with the sticking out of sausage meat avoided in the case of spreadable sausage. Walsroder FVP is used for unsmoked cooked or scalded sausage types, cooked cured meat products and cooked, formed meat products (including poultry products). Protection with a shine The exterior barrier gives the pigmentation a brilliant finish, thus preserving the colour and quality of the sausage. The Walsroder FVP s high level of moisture and oxygen barrier preserves the aroma of the sausage and prevents loss of weight during production and storage. Walsroder FXA The fibrous casing with a defined barrier layer The Walsroder FXA is an exterior-lacquered fibrous casing that allows the production of smoked cooked sausages with reduced loss of weight due to a defined moisture and smoke permeability. This casing, in combination with a structured print image, is an ideal alternative to textile casings, particularly in the production of liver sausage. High productivity Due to the thin wall thickness in comparison to textile casings, the Walsroder FXA enables higher shirred stick run lengths and the use of smaller clips. A clean cut The Walsroder FXA demonstrates excellent cutting properties without any threads getting pulled into the sausage. Due to the lack of shrinkage, the sausage is not squeezed out where a cut has been made. Attractive linen structure For the Walsroder FXA, the well-known linen structure was recreated; it is available in three colours: classico (light-brown-yellow), antico (medium brown-yellow) and rustika (yellow-brown-orange).
