3 MY EDUCATION. Molecular Biotechnology > What is Special About Your Studies? THE MASTER DEGREE PROGRAM IS UNIQUE IN AUSTRIA AND COMPRISES SELECTED MOLECULAR BIOLOGY TOPICS. THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS IN MOLECULAR BIOTECHNOLOGY, IMMUNOLOGY AND DRUG DISCOVERY AS WELL AS APPLICATION-ORIENTED RESEARCH PLAY A CENTRAL ROLE IN THE DEGREE PROGRAM. > After a one-semester introduction phase you will choose one of two electives: immunology or drug discovery (Electives are subject to availability a selection process may apply). Other lecture courses include stem cells, human genetics/genetic testing, tumour biology, bioanalysis and molecular pathology. > You can undertake the project work for your master thesis at prestigious partner research institutes in Vienna or abroad or you can participate in our own research projects in immunology or drug discovery. > You will consolidate your knowledge in various laboratory courses.
