1 VERSAMID 115 Use Versamid 115 is a high viscosity, reactive polyamide resin based on dimerized fatty acid and polyamines. This product is designed for use with solid or liquid epoxy resins to give flexible and resistant thermoset coatings using room temperature cure. Versamid 115/epoxy coatings are more solvent and chemical resistant than Versamid 100/epoxy formulations and generally dry faster than Versamid 125 systems. Versamid 115/epoxy resin systems are used in maintenance coatings, primers and enamel paint formulations because of their excellent resistance properties and adhesion. This resin is also useful in adhesive applications. Versamid 115 in combination with solid epoxy leads to coatings with superior corrosion resistance. Adhesives Coatings- adjunct for epoxy resins. Components of paper and paperboard in contact with aqueous and fatty foods Side seam cements Adhesives, coatings and cements formulated with Versamid 115 resin will comply with these regulations provided they are used only in conjunction with other approved materials, in keeping with good manufacturing practices, and the finished product conforms to extractives limitations for the use-situation as specified in that regulation. Regulatory Status Miscellaneous TSCA, DSL, PICCS, AICS, ECL, IECSC, EINECS PACKAGING, STORAGE AND HANDLING Versamid 115 may absorb moisture and carbon dioxide if left in open containers. This may result in an increased viscosity and some foaming when curing epoxy resins. Therefore, it should be kept in tightly closed containers when not in use and stored in a cool, dry place. Properly protected from moisture, the product has a minimum shelf life of one year. Versamid 115 and epoxy resins should not be mixed until just prior to use because a chemical reaction will take place. Read SAFETY INFORMATION before handling or using product. VERSAMID_r_115_E 3

4 Safety Information Based on toxicological studies with animals, Versamid 115 causes eye and skin irritation and may be harmful if swallowed. Do not get product in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Do not inhale product. Use only with adequate ventilation. Wear recommended protective equipment. In case of skin or eye contact, immediately flush with plenty of clean running water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing. Call a physician. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting until after consulting a physician. Immediately drink large quantities of milk or water and call a physician. Recommended protective equipment includes chemical goggles, rubber gloves and work clothing plus splash apron and respirator with organic vapor filter unless used with local exhaust.
