8 MOBILE ONLINE INSTANT TELLER BANK I can make purchases from my smart phone (e.g. Starbucks). I can do pretty much any banking function on my phone. I can apply for loans and mortgages online. Some banks have a virtual location (e.g. you don t have a brick and mortar building housing your branch). Instant tellers are available almost everywhere. Some instant tellers don t need envelopes to accept a deposit. Services offered at the bank are specialized and focused on customer needs. Expanded hours. I can take a photo of a cheque to get it deposited to my account.

People expect to be able to manage their own information (self service) People expect the technology to be easy to use no training required People expect access in multiple ways; computer, tablets, smart phones People expect to have access whenever they want it, 24/7 People expect the technology to quickly change as new requirements and technologies emerge

38 Facts and Figures The Sierra-Cedar HR Systems Survey is the longest running, most widely distributed, and most highly participative research effort in the HR industry, annually tracking the adoption, deployment approaches, and value achieved from HR technologies. Last year, the Survey collected over 1,000 individual organization responses. The Harvard Business Review s Oracle-sponsored survey, Cloud Computing Comes of Age surveyed 376 organizations, nearly half from North America, a quarter from Asia, 17% from Europe and the rest from the rest of the world. These were all organizations with revenues of 50 million or more.
