PROJECT CLOSURE Complete project documentation (contracts close-out) Perform and document project post-mortem THE OWNER OVERVIEW After completing his schooling in KZN, Brian Klein joined Telkom. Whilst gaining experience on a multitude of maintenance & equipment installation projects he completed studies in Mechanical Engineering. He then accepted a position in the newly created Project Management Office (PMO) where he was involved in setting up and evaluating various Management Information systems. This PMO handled numerous multi-disciplinary infrastructure related projects simultaneously throughout the Province. During his stay of 7 years in the Project Office, Brian also successfully completed the advanced Project Management certification course offered by the UNISA School of Business Leadership. After a 14 year stay with Telkom, Brian left the corporate environment to enter the private industry. A year later he returned to the formal sector by accepting positions of Project Manager with Johnson Controls and Pick n Pay being responsible for a number of Facilities and Operations related projects. After gaining some valuable international work experience, he returned to South Africa and founded a Project Management Consulting company providing project management services to the retail and property industry. This service has included comprehensive management of the national roll-out of retail outlets for a major cellular service provider and national property investors and owners.
