The backupconfig command provided by WebSphere Application Server copies the contents of the profile's config directory tree to a zip file. The backupconfig command provided by WebSphere Application Server copies the contents of the profile's config directory tree to a zip file. A corresponding restoreconfig command can restore the configuration from the backup zip. You can use Tivoli Storage preschedulecmd option to initiate backupconfig automatically prior to scheduled Tivoli Storage backups.
