Technology is available to switch appliances remotely City Power has done a business case for installing the technology at the client s premises. The client can opt to install the web based technology, which allows one to control from a smartphone/web. The technology uses GPRS technology. Demonstration will now commence.

16 ARAC Value Add The platform provides the following features: Ability to data warehouse all the data obtained from the controllers. Provide redundancy and fail-over. Have the ability to monitor the following on each contactor connected to each controller: The contactor status is it switched on or off and which schedule (municipal or end customer) or override is regulating the control. If the contactor is on (allowing current to flow), how much current is flowing through the circuit? Have the ability to switch each contactor individually into one of the following operation modes: Override off Override on Set to schedule Have the ability to create operation schedules for individual and groups of controllers.
