Altro invented safety flooring in 1956, and it s a product area in which we continue to lead the way. In recent years we have also launched many other integrated solutions for practical, decorative interiors, combining floors, resins and walls. Training While we supply detailed installation guides for the majority of our products, they are no substitute for real hands-on demonstrations. Our in-house training courses will show you the correct way to install our products and provide extra hints and tips from our experienced trainers. We run the following training schools at our purpose built training facilities. Altro safety flooring - held at Letchworth Head Office Altro Whiterock wall cladding systems - held at Letchworth Head Office Altro introduction to resin systems - held at our resin office in Maiden Newton Installing safety flooring is a skilled trade and with our Altro safety flooring course we are committed to playing our part in training installers on the latest techniques to enable them to achieve the highest standards possible, this also includes an overview of substrate preparation. Our Altro Whiterock wall cladding course will show you how to prepare the surface, install wall cladding correctly and introduce the procedure of Thermoforming. For those who want to perfect their skills and have previously attended the Altro Whiterock wall cladding course we also offer an Altro Whiterock advanced wall cladding course. The Altro introduction to resin systems course will show you the benefits of resins, how to prepare the substrate, common installation issues, the difference between resin systems and where resins can be applied. This is presented as a one and a half day course. A certificate will be issued to you on completion of every course to show that you have attended. Lunch is provided along with refreshments for all Altro contractor training school courses.

3 About the trainers All Altro contractor school trainers have many years experience in the trade. They consist of floor layers and Altro Whiterock installers, who deal with issues on a daily basis and know how the industry works. They have a vast knowledge of the flooring and walling industry. Some of the trainers have even invented and designed tools that are used in the industry today. 4 Altro safety flooring Duration: 2 Days Location: Altro Head Office, Letchworth, Hertfordshire This course is intended for installers who have some experience of laying sheet flooring, but may need some help and practice in the skills and techniques needed to lay safety flooring. The course covers both theory and practical aspects, with the trainers giving demonstrations and participants working on modules of different scales to hone their skills. On the course you will learn about How to make a reduced cove Adhesives and correct adhesive selection Courses are limited to a maximum of 8 people, so that training can be conducted at a more detailed and personalised level. You will also be given the chance to see Altro safety flooring being made during a scheduled tour of our Manufacturing plant. Lunch and refreshments are provided throughout the twoday course, at the end of which you will be presented with a certificate to show that you have attended and receive an Altro It s all in the Detail DVD. 5 Altro introduction to resin systems Duration: 1½ - Days Location: Altro Resins, Maiden Newton, Dorset The course will introduce delegates to the Altro resin flooring range covering products from coatings to heavy duty industrial screeds. The course content will be a mixture of theoretical and modular practical work with all delegates having handson experience applying the resin systems. By the end of the course delegates will have an improved understanding of the Altro resin range, recognise opportunities for where they can be applied and have a basic understanding of application and preparation in order to carry out successful installations. On the course you will learn about Introduction to Altro resin coatings range and how to develop them into decorative non-slip systems Understanding of how to achieve successful floor preparation and hints on overcoming on-site issues Common installation issues with resins and how to avoid them Introduction to the Altro heavy duty PU range Courses are limited to a maximum of 6 people, and are run 6 times a year. You will also be given the chance to take a tour around the factory to see the production facilities. Lunch and refreshments are provided throughout the course, at the end of which you will be presented with a certificate to show that you have attended. Please contact your local Business Development Representative if you are interested in taking this course. The course covers both theoretical and practical aspects, with the trainers giving demonstrations and participants working in a hands-on environment learning the skills of thermoforming, cutting, application, sealing and maintenance. The course covers both theoretical and practical aspects, with the trainers giving demonstrations and participants working in a hands-on environment.
