11 EASI policy framwork Enable Avoid Shift Improve Avoid unnecessary motorised journeys (with land use, planning, consumer behaviour and technology based measures) Shift from more to less polluting passenger - to mass, collective and shared transport & NMT Freight from road to rail, collective and shared transport.. Enable success depends on the mix of policy packages and measures and in respect to the local context but action is required in ALL the areas of ASI framework. Improve everything! Vehicles, technologies and transport but especially system efficiency.

14 Biofuel mix not only for passenger (including flex fuel) and freight but now used with jet fuel e.g. United By 2020, India will be the 3rd largest aviation market in the world, expected to handle 336 million domestic and 85 million international passengers. Delhi International is one of first airports to have a MWscale solar power plant at airside premises (part of National Action Plan on Climate Change).
