3 Company Background The CQ Group, LLC of Mobile, Alabama is an authorized multi-disciplined engineering firm which specializes in the area of innovative process and mechanical design. Many, if not the majority, of our projects have been designs which are cutting-edge innovations new to the marketplace. Some examples are steam heat treatment of waste foodstuffs, bio-diesel plant design, and closed system scrubbing of power plant flue gases. We have been in business since 2002 and have established partnerships with other firms to provide a complete spectrum of engineering services, with the notable exception of nuclear engineering. We have been contracted by over 70 corporate clients to produce complete and detailed engineering designs. We also provide ASME pressure vessel and piping design, as well as, support for fabrication shops, construction contractors, and manufacturing facilities. Our principals have a combined 30 years experience in the design, specification, procurement, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of industrial equipment.

5 Mechanical Engineering CQ Engineering has over 15 years of mechanical design experience, including ASME pressure vessel, API storage tank, and heat exchanger design and analysis; boiler repair consulting; piping design and analysis; and process equipment specification. We can provide the ASME calculations required for U-Stamp pressure vessel fabrication and certification. We can also provide PE stamped calculations for Division 2 vessel and alterations. We use both commercial software and in-house software, as well as finite element analysis to design and analyze vessels and pressure components. Our design and analysis capabilities include wind, seismic, and snow loads on mechanical systems, as well as external loads on nozzles in accordance with WRC Bulletin-107. Chemical Engineering CQ Engineering has decades of experience in detailed chemical engineering, both computational and modeling complex systems, as well as field and troubleshooting work. We use commercial software, as well as build in-house programs for unique and unusual problems. While we do traditional chemical engineering, such as creating Process Flow Diagrams, Piping & Instrument Diagrams, and Equipment Specification Sheets, we specialize in unique and challenging problems. These include modeling the behavior of chemical systems at extreme conditions, evaluation of material properties at high temperatures and pressures, system design and handling of powdered and bulk materials, safety and hazard evaluation of plant and process conditions, area electrical classifications, finite element analysis of chemical and mechanical systems, modeling of heat transfer and pressure relief. We have a proven track record of tackling problems that have been difficult or intractable in previous efforts.

7 Civil/Structural Engineering CQ Engineering can provide industrial civil and structural engineering and design that meets client specifications, as well as local building codes. We also provide inspection and repair consultation on existing steel and concrete structures within industrial facilities. Outside industrial facilities, we can provide communication tower site design and consulting. Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering CQ Engineering provides instrumentation and electrical engineering design to facilities in the fields of petrochemical, pulp and paper, power generation, and oil refining, as well as cutting edge technologies such as bio-fuels and gasification. We also provide communication tower electrical design and data collection platform design and consulting.

8 BUDGET AND SCHEDULE MANAGEMENT Because we have worked in industry as both engineers and managers, we know that budget and schedule are critical. We manage projects carefully to ensure that goals are met within the clients expectations, and that resources are utilized responsibly.

9 Technical Innovation CQ Engineering continues to provide new and unique solutions to problems that arise as advances in technology and process development push existing facilities into new and uncharted areas. Through our knowledge of existing process equipment and developing technologies we are able to provide our clients practical yet cutting edge solutions. Information Technology Support In addition to engineering services, The CQ Group, LLC can provide computer and information technology support to our clients, including system support, documentation storage and tracking, and scheduling. We also offer weld procedure and welder qualification record maintenance and tracking both online and offline. Success A client's facility had reached a critical juncture. Major equipment and even support structures were in danger of corrosion failure. The process was very unforgiving and damaging everything around it. All previous attempts failed to resolve the root cause. CQ Engineering was hired to redesign the process, and to engineer major changes to the process equipment and control scheme. A first unit was retrofitted using our new design, and ran successfully. The clients' management was so pleased with the success that funding for the entire facility, on the order of tens of millions of dollars, was approved on a fast-track basis. All of the units were redesigned resulting in a clean, safer, and less expensive operation. This operating company continues to be a premier client for CQ Engineering.
